There is nothing like waking up and walking right out onto the beach. There is nothing like asking for an early check in and being accommodated, 2 years in a row. There is nothing like staying in a place that feels like home, no need for luxuries, just safety and peace and quiet. This was my 2nd time staying at this property and I'm already planning my next trip this summer. The service can't be beat, and for a girl who just wants to get to the beach quickly, there isn't a better place to stay.

The room was lovely. The windows were rattling and not very sound proof, but they are waiting on new windows to arrive. The building is a work in progress, but it is in great condition for it's age and it is in a beautiful location. He was kind enough to let us leave our suitcases in the lobby while we roamed the beach waiting for our room to be available and he gave us a chance to check in earlier than the standard time.

I travel for work and love to stay at places with a local feel. I dont review as a rule unless its exceptionally good or bad. This place has an unusually good location and unusually good local feel.

Location is amazing!! Older building, that has been repurposed into a hotel. They were still in the midst of Reno’s. The hotel kind of has single room Hostel vibes. Rooms are nice, showers are like a phone booth. The man checking you in was nice. Issue: The sound carries in this old building and the couple above me (with a dog) were fighting with each other all night. She stormed out and came back several times (with the dog). It was brutal. I was unable to get any sleep and there are no staff at the hotel overnight to deal with this situation. The bed was comfortable, the staff were nice but I have to give the place a poor rating because of my experience.

We loved the old charm of the building-it was like staying back in time. The room was steps from the sand, which is why we selected it in the first place. We loved walking to the restaurants. As others have mentioned, parking is a bit tricky but manageable. While tastefully decorated, the room needed some minor improvements. The shower mat was gross and coming apart, which is a cheap and easy fix. There weee also a couple of places with holes in the wall stuffed with paper towel, so an easy drywall repair would fix it right up. It didn’t impact our stay, just not a great look. There doesn’t seem to be any air or heat, which was fine in March when we stayed as there are space heaters in the room. I imagine it would be very uncomfortable in the summer, even with the provided fans. But, part of the charm is that it’s not changed much since it was built. Overall, we enjoyed our stay-it was a new adventure for us, and you can’t beat the location.
