AUI booked this hotel for its location - between the railway station and the ferry terminal. It is rated as One Star, so I read the reviews very carefully before deciding to stay there. I am not interested in all the frills when I travel, so having a spotlessly clean, spacious room that looks to have been recently renovated really suited me. I had to check-in at a hotel 100m away, but the man on reception there took me down the road to my room, carefully explained how to access the building, and clearly answered my questions. I had to walk to the other hotel each morning to enjoy an excellent breakfast. My room had all the essentials - comfortable bed, extra pillows/blankets if needed, good reading lights, desk, good wi-fi, wardrobe, tea/coffee making facilities, heating/cooling, ample hot water, hair dryer, window shutters for security and daily room cleaning.
