Nous avons été ravis tant par l'hôtel que par l'ile d'ortigia. Points positifs : l'emplacement, la propreté, la taille de la chambre, le calme, la plendide salle de bain, la qualité des serviettes de bain. Nous recommanderons sans hésiter cet hôtel. Le petit déjeuner compris dans le prix est très correct. Point faible: la fiabilité du car valet. 25€/jour service sous traité par l'hôtel qui ne respecte jamais les 20 minutes annoncées pour avoir la voiture

We were not familiar and it took a minute to locate as the entrance is not facing the street. Once we found it, Giuliani checked us right in and set up a parking valet for us. She helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room. Beautiful building with great history. Rooms were quiet and clean. The Manager, Domenico was an absolute treat and made us feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back. Grazie Mille, Lanterne Magiche! You have earned guests for a lifetime.

It was advertised with a sea view, there is one, but you have to open the window and look down a 4 foot wide alley to see a glimpse- false advertising. It is quite difficult to get to, using GPS to get to a place to temporarily park while you unload the suitcases, and walk 100 feet up a cobblestone narrow street, to find the reception. Until you have done it once, there is no good description on how to find it. The stairs inside are irregular height, so be careful. Ask for a room with elevator access.
