Pensione Sorriso

Our first time in Vernazza and we happen to find a pearl in the middle of a sea of hotels! The Pensione Sorriso, Eleena and staff were wonderful! There was such great and positive energy about the place. We were planning on staying only 1 day and decided stay for three days! The room was clean and comfortable. The area was right in the center of beautiful Vernazza and close to train station that made it easy to explore all of Cinque Terre! We would love to be back !!!

This place was awesome. Evelyn and all the staff were the best--very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were met by a charming lady, Evelyna. We stayed one night and had a wonderful stay. Hope to get back one day for a longer stay

So close to the train station (may be an issue if youre a light sleeper - maybe earplugs?). Breakfast was lovely, lots of options. Staff very friendly and gave recommendations. I went during low season and got a nice little upgrade to an included ensuite (shower a bit small but I survived).

The property is conveniently very close to the train station. It is very clean and the staff are great, especially Evelyn who went over and beyond to help us print our train tickets for us. She also facilitated an early check in for us. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony, and it was great to sit out there enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. There is also a restaurant downstairs where we had drinks and snacks too. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pastries. The hotel operates an honesty system for drinks, and this is very handy if you need a drink and do not wish to go out. It is very easy to reach the beach area by just walking out of the hotel, past the train station and onto the main street all the way to the water. Although the train station is very close, we were not affected by the passing trains at all. In fact, we quite enjoyed watching them from our quint balcony! There are a few outdoor areas to sit and relax. However, were there in the cold weather and did not get the opprtunity to do so. We were really made to feel at home at the Pensione Sorriso, and we will happily return should next time we are in 5Terre.

We were so happy with Pensione Sorriso! We were greeted on our arrival, given lots of information about the hotel, and shown our room. The staff member was excellent. I believe her name was Elenora? She was so incredible and helpful Friday & Saturday. We saw her working so hard for every guest to make sure they were happy and had everything they needed. We were so impressed by her. We will come back here for future vacations.

Amenities were good. Great breakfast. Noisy next to train track but we knew about the location. One star because during check in, the staff tried to trick us into paying extra 25euro to upgrade to a different room in order to get 2 bath towels, even though we booked a room for 2 adults. We ended up getting 2 towels anyways but it was very dishonest of them to say we had to upgrade in order to get two towels we should have gotten instead of one.
