Oceanic Bliss with FREE PARK and Netflix

The property was really clean, the host was brilliant - excellent communication from the minute we booked it. The location was good, it was far enough away from the city centre but still quite noisy.

The communal areas are a little run down and there are quite a few smells in the building! This isn’t the hosts fault, we appreciate that, and her apartment was lovely and clean. We stayed on a very hot day so slept with the windows open and there was a lot of road noise. I think it would be great if she put a couple more fans in the room in the summer.

Im ganzen Haus stinkt es fürchterlich - die Wohnung ist nicht sauber - Handtuch-Heizkörper zB komplett dreckig, da will man kein Handtuch aufhängen.

Elizabeth (host) was great! Great location to the event we were visiting for, in addition to being a few minutes walk to the bullring.

Apartment was not cleaned to a good standard prior to arrival (long term build up of dust around vents). The sofa was not as shown in the picture, as a group of individuals all over 6ft tall, the sofa has no legs and is barely 20cm off the ground so only able to relax at dining table and one other chair. For an apartment that could accommodate 6 people, amenities for this amount was not provided (2 coffee cups, 2 glasses, 4 wine glasses). Saucepan also had no handle so even unable to cook. The single bed in the primary bedroom is broke Curtains do not cover full extent of the windows. In the check in email, it advises that there are also blinds fitted, there is not. When we visited it was raining and outside temperature was between 15-18 degrees, the apartment was absolutely roasting (no heating on) and only one fan to cool three rooms down. WiFi temperamental through a 4g box. Advertised Netflix is included which is not. Not that the wifi signal is strong enough to power Netflix anyway. There is a water leak in the storage cupboard. The apartment building did not feel safe or secure. The gates to the car park were broke and pinned open for the duration of our stay. The main door to the building was also broke, security were there on an evening but anybody could gain access during the day and security were not checking who was coming or going on an evening. Corridors smelt of drugs and urine. There was graffiti in the lifts. Rubbish left on floor throughout corridors and car park area, I am honest surprised that rats are not running around the corridors. Ring door bell on the door of the apartment made us feel that we were being watched throughout our stay.

Nice having 6 beds and a sofa for a group of girls wanting to visit Birmingham so we were all together.

The overflow of bins outside stank! The corridors and lift smell was awful. One single bed was broke. We asked to have an early check in and the key wasn’t available and the cleaner was still there. Wish I hadn’t paid the early check in cost!

This flat was nice, quite clean and roomy. Suitable for families. In a great location, 2min walk from Bullring. Great parking! Free as well

The building itself could do with a bit of maintenance, lifts were a bit grim. Also not sure if there’s student accommodations in the building but loads of students/young people. Could also be one off because of the long bank holiday Easter weekend!

the property owners was so helpful and lovely. The place itself was also lovely and spacious. would definitely recommend and will be coming back again!!

The apartment block is awful ! Smells like rotting rubbish and questionable things in the lifts and corridors..We left our rubbish in the Rubbish store in the cupboard as requested and can see why the block smells to high heaven ..the rubbish was upto the ceiling it obviously hasn't been emptied for months and months ! Also we paid for 5 people to stay ,it could accommodate 6 in reality..there were 3 glasses to drink from and 3 cups ..we had to take it in turns to have cups of tea,ridiculous! .The pillows and mattresses have no protectors which is disgusting! It's very cheaply decorated and furnished so not comfy at all .Not even lampshades in one bedroom ! Looks luxury on the pictures but take it from me it is far from it.we would have moved if we could to another place but everywhere was full due to half term . Honestly don't waste your money on this place .I'm not sure what the cleaner does everytime but it's definitely not cleaning ..maybe can't stand the smell and doesn't go in at all ..don't blame them ! Oh yes and curtains don't fit at all and only cover half of the window ..it mentioned new blinds in the instructions ,we didn't see anything new, let alone blinds ..also having to walk to a Nisa store to fetch and return the key is absolute madness ! It's throwing it down with rain you have to find somewhere to park whilst you trapes over to the shop ,( not sure what would happen if you are not an able walker ) and then do the same rigmarole afterwards.This does not make for a relaxing stay ,this is also not told to you till you've booked and paid .Oh there is a lift but of course not working ! Do yourself a favour and stay away from this apartment and company .Of course they have £100 of your money as deposit so you can't complain till it's returned ,mind you ,looks like they need the £100 more than I do !
