GBGBThe location was great - a reasonable walking distance from town (a £7 uber), and it was great to have free nearby parking, a corner shop and a small Tesco. The flat was spacious, and had all the basic amenities for our stay. Kitchen and bathroom were clean. Lots of great choice for takeaways/deliveries. Communications with Mike were excellent, he was very friendly and helpful.
We were warned of the cigarette smoke smell in a welcome message but unfortunately, it was really unpleasant and spoilt our time in the flat. Even with windows open and door shut, it was extremely strong and continued around the clock. It probably wouldn't bother smokers, but some of our party had headaches as a result of the smell. The road was busy as other reviews mention, and the house did rattle with traffic - this didn't bother us but might be a problem for light sleepers. The guest in the first floor bedroom was woken 2 out of 3 mornings around 5am by very loud screaming/shouting from next door. Unfortunately, we also didn't find all of the beds to be comfy (1 was ok, 2 were not), so generally we didn't sleep well. Other amenities were good enough, but basic - wifi had weak signal and security, regular TV channels didn't work, no spare towels or bedding (although I didn't ask Mike, tbf), and only 2 toilet rolls provided. The flat was clean enough overall but a bit dusty in places (for example, the air purifier was lined with thick black dust so wasn't usable). Overall, I would have rated a 7 but unfortunately, the smoke smell brought my rating down to a 5 because it was truly really horrible.

It was mentioned in the welcome message that it was an issue with a below property, but unfortunately the place (particularly downstairs part of property) smelt very badly of smoke. As non smokers it really was unpleasant. I would say that previous owners / tenants were heavy smokers. It was too strong to just be coming from somewhere else.
GBThe street was quite busy but it was quiet inside. The beds were very comfortable.
We rolled up the carpet runners because they were a trip hazard. We couldn’t work out how to watch ordinary TV so we watched iplayer
