Cosy Apartment above Village Pub

Comfortable apartment above a lovely pub. Well equipped. We ate in the pub Saturday evening and food was delicious.

My oversight as didn’t check but no hairdryer.

It was very clean and the location was good. Buxton and Bakewell not too far and easy to drive to and Chatsworth House well worth a visit

The apartment was really cold in the living area even though the heating and fire was on and would've liked to be able to lock the inner door leading into the apartment. There was water damage stains on the wall and ceiling in the living area and the WiFi signal kept dropping off on the tv when the pub was open.

The apartment is very nicely decorated and furnished with comfortable beds and everything you could possibly need. We ate at the pub, food and service was fantastic. Nice village conveniently sandwiched between Buxton and Bakewell.

I hate to add these bad points as we were so impressed but something should really be done about the damp in the bedroom and front room. Particularly the bedroom as the wall was actually wet which affected the allergies of a person sleeping in there. Also on the friday night there was noise (loud singing and music) from the pub downstairs until around 2am, which meant the lighter sleepers of the group were very tired the next day which is not what you want when you have a full day of walking planned. So its such a shame to have to write the above because otherwise we were very impressed for the price but too big a deal to just not mention.

Very large apartment conveniently just off the A6 a few miles from the three main Towns in the Park/Dales. The Pub below was great with good prices and food with a friendly crowd. A great location for short or longer stays.

Could have been a tad warmer.

Very comfortable flat which was well laid out and had everything needed. Double bed was great and again comfortable. Cosy pub downstairs with friendly local people. Ate in the pub, by the fire, first night and food and service great.

Stayed over weekend and music below back bedroom was very loud. Not a complaint as a flat over a pub is a clue but just for info. Rest of flat was fairly quiet.
