Portas do Céu Apartments

Room seems big in pictures, but the pitched ceiling takes a lot of the space on that side of the bedroom (a bit of a hazard to wake up in the middle of the night and forget that rafters are there). My biggest issue was in the bathroom: lighting is very poor making it hard for doing make up and getting ready, next to no space on the vanity to place toiletries, no ledge of shelving in shower so you have to place everything on the floor (shampoo, shower gel, etc) Location is nice, close distance to 2 view points (miradouros), it is located on the hills of Lisbon but close to sites of interest and the hike is not bad at all. Bed was comfortable, 4th floor has a nice view, elevator works well and everything seemed really clean.

Lovely apartment in a great location, the apartment proved a great base for 3 days in Lisbon. We were on 3rd floor which was quiet but with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The trams run past the apartment but we generally walked, pack good shoes! Would recommend/ return if in Lisbon.

Très agréable séjour. Appartement spacieux nous étions trois un adulte et deux adolescents pour 5 nuits Bien équipé et spacieux. Pas de parking. Parking public à 350 mètres environ, 10€ par jour. Bien placé dans le quartier de l’Alfama sur la hauteur, sur la ligne de tramway 15E et 12E à proximité du château et de l’église Santa Luzia. Apparemment côté rue. Le bruit de la rue ne nous a pas gêné car vers 23h le quartier est calme. Il n’ya pas de bar en dessous…Des restaurants à proximité dans le quartier mais à 23 heures il n’y a plus trop de service. À proximité une vue magnifique. Le tramway 28E dessert des points stratégiques, très pratique pour remonter le soir après avoir beaucoup marché.

As good as can be hoped for in the oldest district of the city. Clean, safe, modern. Noisy. No lock on bathroom. No extra bedding. Good host.

We had a lovely stay. The apartment is very central and close to several restaurants. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We stayed facing the garden, so it was lovely and quiet. There can be some noise between the floors, however, as the floors creak a lot. The beds are very small, but all in all we are very satisfied and can highly recommend the place.

Excellent overall, but floors and walls were very noisy. Understandable as it’s an older building, but more than anticipated.
