Portas do Céu Apartments

The apartment is quite large, although there is a narrow staircase to get up to. The office isn't always staffed so there may be off chance that you'd need to wait a bit to find the staff. They are nice to hold our luggage before the room was ready and after checkout though. The bedroom is not on main street so it's quiet enough. The living room is on main street so can get noisy, as there is almost no soundproofing at all for these old buildings. We were told there would be street parties in June so it may get noisy around that time, but it was quiet for us in May.

Pillows and duvet were made with feathers very crunchy and uncomfortable. Black mold in bathroom. Also shower head located at knee level. There was nowhere higher to hang moveable shower head.

Great location with awesome food and apartment had a courtyard that was locked to outsiders. Very quiet and peaceful.

I absolutely loved my stay! The location can’t be beat and the unit I stayed in was cozy and comfortable. I stayed on the bottom floor and had to double window doors with shutters. You can see out but no one can see in. So I people watched as I got ready for my day. I felt safe.A cute, convenient kitchenette,closet w/safe. Sonia who checked me in was an amazing help and when she wasn’t in the office she was responsive thru WhatsApp. I transitioned to a different part of Lisbon mid trip and I wish I hadn’t! Be prepared to do a lot of walking (uphill and downhill) on uneven stone pavement. I do not recommend sandals, heels, or even flip flops. Tennies! So many restaurants nearby. Do walk through of the alley’s, so many hidden gems. Alfalma, Castle, the views are unreal! I would most definitely stay here again!

Staff was genuinely helpful . Lots of freedom to explore Portugal and Lisbon. Wonderful place , will definitely visit again!!!

Excellent location in Alfama with a short walk to the Baixa and Bairro Alto. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

Experiencia ótima, apartamento muito confortável, recepcao muito gentil.

Logement suffisamment grand pour 2 adultes, très propre et sécurisé. Le plancher grince un peu, on entend les voisins de couloir mais cela reste très calme. Situé proche des petits restaurants et du point de vue de Santa Luzia, à quelques pas du château de Sao Jorge. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Helpful, cheery and a good vibe from the receptionist that checked us in. Room was ready when we arrived, about 3 hours early which was a bonus. The particular apartment had creaky floorboards, no shelf within the shower inclosure for storage and the extractor fan in the bathroom was like a tractor! However, none of these made our stay worse. It was a beautiful place, great mod cons (air conditioning, filter coffee machine, pod coffee machine, kettle, toaster) to name a few. Would happily stay again if ever in Lisbon.

Restaurant and bakeries close by right in the center of Old Lisbon. Old world tours were the best
