Nice property in good location

No hot water and no response when raised the issue. Really not a great experience but the sun was out and the location was good.

Beautiful, property,great position, beach down the road, bus stop around the corner nice pub round the corner.

Unfortunately the boiler kept de pressurising whilst we were there so hot water issues. But managed to to pressurise the boiler with guidance. Staff at host and stay were very helpful. ( boiler needed specialist but bank holiday. ( these things happen)

Close to the beach and town, everything was in walking distance. Parking outside.

Problem with no hot water. I had to call host and stay. The hot water would only come on if you released the pressure lever in the boiler. But you had to do this every morning! That doesn’t seem quite right so perhaps the boiler should get checked .

​We absolutely loved our 3-night stay at Retreat By The Sea! The location is fantastic—peaceful yet incredibly close to both the beautiful beach and the town centre. The property itself has a lot going for it; it is spacious, features tasteful decor, and boasts a very comfy bed alongside a great shower. A massive plus for us was the lovely little courtyard garden, which was absolutely perfect for our dog. The space itself and the stellar location completely won us over, and we would definitely recommend it for a coastal break.

​While we had a wonderful time, there were a few minor maintenance issues and missing comforts. A major annoyance was the sofa; the feather cushions were constantly leaking, shedding feathers all over the lounge, and were so spiky they kept poking us. The bedroom pillows were also quite flat. For a 3-night stay, being left with only one toilet roll (and no holder), two dishwasher tablets, no kitchen roll, and no oven glove felt a bit stingy. Additionally, the bathroom window has poor frosting and no blinds (meaning neighbours could potentially see in), there are no hooks to hang anything, the crockery felt tired (with only one prosecco glass), the TVs are very small, and the boiler kept losing pressure. You can also hear people moving about upstairs, including some loud music one afternoon. Most of these are very quick fixes for the owners to make it perfect!

Perfect location short 5 min walk to the beach lovely decorated, 2 double bedrooms which were so comfy and the master had doors onto the courtyard kitchen was perfect for what we needed, small family with young child and dog the courtyard was a bonus, somewhere to sit out and space for the dog to relax too

can't think of much the smaller double was a little chilly when the heating went off

Very clean and comfortable.. Close to the beach. Everything you need apart from a few fire lighters and a couple of logs would have been great. Bedrooms a good size. Decoration and cleanliness were exceptional.

There was some noise from the upstairs flat, opening and closing the shared front door etc. But didn't spoil anything. Also it is not 'you get the whole house ' as stated in the hype but a downstairs flat. Had to clean the glass on the log burner.

The house was very clean and the location was perfect for everything.
