"Terrible and I had to leave early."

The mattress was nice

Mouldy coffee, rotten food in the cupboards, you weren’t allowed visitors which is the whole reason I came to Leicester to see friends and family. The people on the street very nosey I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Mattress was poor very uncomfortable needs modernising internet was very slow couldn’t watch tv as it only runs on the WiFi not worth the money will be staying at our normal place next time and it needs a good clean everywhere

"The landlords are rubbish, God will not forgive these two landlords"

Very bad! The landlord is very rude and has a terrible attitude!

Booking gave me a £120 cash bonus as compensation after learning about my experience: The landlord installed surveillance in the house and did not allow visitors to enter. After I moved in, my friend from Leicester came to see how I was doing and brought some snacks. As a result, the landlord slandered me for prostitution and kicked me out. I promised that no one would come to me again in the future, but he still rudely asked me to leave. I asked him for rent and deposit, but he refused. He was just a robber! The landlord did not write in the rental instructions that visitors were prohibited. He only notified the guests after they paid and moved in! This is the worst, most rubbish, and most rubbish landlord I have ever seen. God will not forgive him. His house is divided into Apartment 1 and Apartment 2. I sincerely advise everyone not to rent his house.

"Good for what we needed"

The apartment was comfy and clean, it was 5 minute walk from where we were going so that was perfect. Plenty of shops and takeaways around to get food from. Parking right outside the front of the apartment and a security camera right outside the front door so that put our minds at ease.

Very big step going into the apartment so not suitable for anyone with any kind of mobility issue. I even struggled and I have zero mobility issues. Bathroom very small but was fine for what we needed. Tea/coffee/sugar needed replacing as the instant coffee was stuck to the inside of the jar

I really liked how the bed was comfortable and good sized for 2-3 people. On first impressions it was nice and clean/tidy. Also I love how they have a garden space that was free to use. It had a nice sized kitchen and bathroom. Very good for long/short term stay, definitely recommend.

"All a bit dodgy"

Nothing, we didn't end up staying.

We didn't end up staying here. There were a few reasons. First after making the booking I was asked to upload my ID, which I have never been asked to do before. I'm happy to show it but I don't want to send it to a random WhatsApp number! Secondly, I was asked to send a £75 cleaning deposit, it was nearly as much as the cost of the apartment. When I called to ask how we got in the women was rude on the phone refusing to do anything without the ID. If she had said I could show it over video call I would have done that. But also while I was talking to her a neighbour came up to us and said that other people who had stayed there had been scammed. The whole thing just felt off. Also it said in the description that there was free parking, one of the reasons we chose to book there, but it was all residents permit parking

"Lovely location. Initial good communication. Poor hosting experience..."

I liked the location, the parking (permit included), the communication from the host (mostly) and the bed and sofa comfort. I liked that the host did come and see me after his local visit to another property and confirm my assessment that the internet was not working.

The flat did not have fully working nor fully accessible heating. A Portable oil and electric heater were provided which were far from enough to heat the whole place. It as cold and i had to choose from heating kitchen / loung room which was a lot bigger or the bedroom where i could attempt to dry my clothes. The internet was down the whole time. I had booked so i could rest, cook, wash my clothes and work. I had next to no reception on my phone network (not the hosts fault) and so tried to engage host in getting the vodaphone network operational. Whilst i completely understand both myself and the host are beholdent to the internet provider - I do recognise this limitation - i also know what it takes to be persistent with them to get the network fully assessed. I do not feel that the issue was given the time and importance it deserved when paying a fair amount to stay for a couple of days to work. I didn't expect to have to chase for the updates as i did. In the end no internet service was regained and I came away with 2 days work to catch up on when being back on the road for work. My washing barely dried and was forced to use the local laundrette - which cost another £40. Granted I had a large load. I am not wealthy nor should it even matter. When you book a place with internet, kitchen and a washing machine. You expect there to be heating, correct utensils and tea towels, access to internet. And, when there isn't, you don't expect your query to be acknowledged by saying 'others haven't had a problem'. Therefore having to acknowledge that that was before and not now. Oh, i also (at time of checking in) made sure the host got back his key-set, left in one of the flat doors; with keys to multiple properties - after, I struggled to get access because the wrong key code to the lock box was given and the correct lock box code given was wrong. I did all this before I even got settled ready for a couple of days to work and rest.
