Villa Barluzzi

Staying at Villa Barluzzi was an experience beyond expectations. This extraordinary boutique hotel, once a church dating back to 1145, has been lovingly transformed into a peaceful sanctuary with just five exclusive rooms. I stayed in the King Suite, which came with its own private lemon garden – a magical place to begin or end the day. Breakfast was a daily highlight, elegantly served either in my room or in the tranquil garden. The views from the suite were absolutely breathtaking – waking up to such scenery felt like a dream. The location is ideal – 6 min walk from the city center. The service was impeccable. A special thanks to Luisa, the manager, whose kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made me feel truly welcome. Every detail of my stay was perfect, and the memories I made here will stay with me forever. Villa Barluzzi is not just a hotel – it’s a timeless escape.

Just an early morning strong noise coming from the neighbor construction, which is not related to hotel itself. Stairs to reach the place, but personally for me, it was not an issue.

The history and beautiful architectural restoration of the property. Everything has been extremely well thought out and done and the room sizes are gigantic and very comfortable. The furniture is all beautiful antique reproductions. Although there is very minimal staff, they are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extremely substantial and served on our private balcony, allowing us to take in the beautiful view of the Amalfi Coast.

Although the bed is a beautiful antique reproduction, the mattress used does not make for a very comfortable sleep. This is of course my opinion only and may not be the case for many other guests.

Everything is perfect. Villa Barluzzi is not simply a hotel, it is as close to a real life fairytale as one can experience. We stayed in the Kronos room and it was incredible. The bed is the comfiest I've ever stayed in. The entire villa oozes romance and everything is luxurious behold belief. But the real gem of this incredible venue is the staff. Luisa and her team are the kindest but most true people we have ever met. We stayed in the villa for 3 nights whilst we got married nearby and they made it even more special. For as long as I and my wife live, we will forever be grateful to the Luisa, her team and the incredible Villa Barluzzi.

The staff were really warm and welcoming - as well as extremely helpful. The view is one of the hero views in Ravello - which is already famous for its views. The villa is stunning - we had the huge Icarus room. We were unable to get into our preferred hotel so I chose this, hoping it would be as good, and it was indeed exceptional. My trouble is I don’t want to leave a great review because then I will have trouble booking in future! but I can’t lie - it’s a beautiful place to stay.

This isn’t great if you hate steps - but to stay in Ravello is to embrace steps!

Our stay at Villa Barluzzi was amazing! It is even more enchanting in person. There are only five rooms at this villa, which was newly renovated about 18 months ago. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Our room was kept very clean and we were served breakfast (which is included) on our patio every morning. See photos

I have never been to a more beautiful hotel. We had the Deodalo room, which is the rooftop terrace room with access to the bell tower. The views are stunning and the owner did an amazing job converting a 13th century church into a hotel while still preserving some of the original architecture and charm. We loved ringing the bells at noon and 6pm and hearing other distant bells ring across Ravello. We loved the staff and are very grateful to them for making our experience magical. Special shout out to Luisa for being so helpful and meeting us outside of Ravello to bring us to the hotel as well as to the very kind ladies who always brought us delicious breakfast to our terrace. Also, special thank you to the kind gentleman who carried our bags to our room up the bell tower. Everything was top notch and even the view from the shower was breathtaking. Some much fun to shower listening to Italian music, looking out to the sea, and listening to the birds chirping and watching the butterflies fly around. I have never stayed in a nicer place in my life.

The gardens are very peaceful but could use some tidying up.

The old church turned villa is a sight to behold. We had the best views in town while sipping on coffee on our very own terrace garden with tall trees. Everything from the vaulted ceiling to the painted floor tiles to the wood-carved bed in our room were dreamy and beautiful. Private breakfast overlooking the Amalfi coast and wine in the hot tub for sunset were unforgettable highlights. Luisa was a very gracious and helpful host and the staff were generally kind and most helpful. We also booked a daily car service from them and had a whole day exploring the busy coast towns at our own leisure with a polite and knowledgable driver. A true romantic getaway in Ravello, the most picturesque town the Amalfi coast has to offer.

Gorgeous!! We had the top room with the terrace and hot tub! We used it every day to either calm day after a gorgeous day of hiking, or to relax on a cool rainy afternoon
