Beautiful property, service and staff were excellent

New property with pool and spa, beautifully decorated and fabulous restaurant on the premises. Very relaxing - loved it!

Overall the hotel did not feel like a five-star experience, with many issues during my stay ranging from room availability and comfort to billing mistakes. I expected more from a hotel outside the city center trying to compete for discerning travelers. The hotel location in Chartrons is outside the city center and about a 10-minute walk to a tram line and an 8-minute ride into the main sites. The room was compact even at the Premier level. There was no "leather banquette and stone table" in front of the bed as advertised in the room description, but note the accompanying photos, but instead a small table in between the bed and the hallway. The in-room temperature controls often had no effect on the actual temperature of the room. The lights in the hallway, which also stores clothes behind a curtain, were dim if you could get the lighting control to work, otherwise you might be navigating with nearby light from the bathroom. Members of my tour group reported similar issues with their rooms, so this doesn't seem like an isolated occurrence. I was overbilled by the hotel for my stay but, potentially due to an early morning check out, no one was available to help me resolve the issue. I was told a manager would follow-up with me about the discrepancy but had not received any contact a few days after my departure when I submitted my own accounting of my stay to the hotel. I was eventually refunded a few hundred Euros I was overbilled. I enjoyed the breakfast and the on-site restaurant. I did not spend time in the pool, sauna, or steam rooms.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel well placed for our day trips. Staff very polite and helpful. Meals delicious.

Beautifully new but architecturally strong. Lovely indoor heated pool and saunas. I liked the fact that it was away from city centre. Parking expensive though.

Ok. It's a nice place. My wife gives it 5 stars I give it 3 based on what I expected. Positives is that it is new and the staff is kind. Bed is very comfortable. Nice restaurant. Negatives. 20 minute walk to the downtown attractions. Very small room. Basically a bed you can walk around. Mood lighting everywhere but this is their artistic choice. Loud DJ music until 1130pm on Friday you hear easily from the room. Weird signage. Large door says restaurant. Small door says Hotel Spa. I was looking for Hotel entrance. They said it's Hotel and Spa entrance after I passed it. Wanted coffee and a croissant for breakfast not their buffet and initially was turned away but a manger saw this and we gave it to us. Nice place. Not perfect though unless you like quirky.

Lovely hotel, great staff, awesome food and a fabulous ambience!! I could write an essay on it, but hopefully my truncated description will convey our high regard for this hotel. Each time we visit Bordeaux in the future, this will be our hotel of choice. Well done, staff!!

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. The service through to the environment were amazing topped off by the pool and spa. Room was great too. Would go back and stay. We also liked where the hotel was based five minutes from the tram and a nice walk down the river . Cocktails at the bar were nice as well as a good breakfast.

It was just a bit far from places we wanted to visit and dine. But a lovely hotel and staff. We would definitely return,

Some of the politest and helpful staff I've ever met and done in a very quiet way. Beautiful premises. Don't know who supplies the beds and quilts but had a very relaxed sleep for the time I stayed there. It's in a quiet neighbourhood and a little bit outside of the centre so if you're not driving then there's a tram 10 minutes walk away which will take you into the city. Enjoyed my trip and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again.
