TA’AKTANA, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo

I have circled the globe many times mostly traveling for work. This will be one of the most memorable stays I have ever had. The staff were over the top! The attention to detail! The architecture, the landscaping, location, views, the total Package!

Ein echtes 5-Sterne- Hotel - das einzige auf Flores! Endlich ein echtes 5-Sterne-Hotel auf Flores! Das Ta'aktana setzt Maßstäbe und hebt sich deutlich von den vielen 5 Sterne „Luxushotels" ab, die den Standard nicht halten können. Die Qualität, der Service und das Design sind hier absolut erstklassig. Wenn man es nicht besser weiß, sind die anderen Hotels auf Flores durchaus in Ordnung. Aber im direkten Vergleich wird schnell klar, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hier einfach unschlagbar ist. Wer echten Luxus sucht, ist im Ta’aktana genau richtig. Meiner Meinung nach sind drei Tage auf Flores völlig ausreichend, um die Highlights der Insel zu erleben. Der Butler-Service im Ta’aktana ist dabei eine große Hilfe – er organisiert private Touren mit allem Drum und Dran, sodass man die Insel stressfrei und in vollen Zügen genießen kann. An amazing property, the staff are so attentive and polite

Everything about this hotel was exceptional! I can’t even begin to describe how incredible the service, comfort, and overall experience were. I was searching for a kid-friendly hotel in Labuan Bajo, and this was the only one that allowed children under 12 to stay with their parents. I was lucky enough to secure a room before it sold out for the Lunar Holiday. Even though I booked a king-bed room, I was amazed by how spacious and well-ventilated it was. The service went beyond excellent—we were personally greeted by the hotel manager, Peter Kleiss, along with the front desk staff. What made it even more special was the seamless check-in experience, which was done in our room with the assistance of our assigned 24-hour butler, Yosef. The kids’ club was fantastic! My daughter was in tears when it was time to say goodbye to Ms. Astri, Ms. Tri, and Ms. Ima. The recreational team also made our stay memorable by arranging for my husband and me to try on traditional Manggarai attire and learn about the Manggarai culture—huge thanks to Mr. Yohanes and Ms. Ima for that! The hotel also organized various activities for us, including snorkeling, water scooters, kayaking, and hiking. Special thanks to Mr. Julio and Mr. Leri for their assistance. The food was absolutely delicious, carefully curated by the talented Chef Andi Hartono. When I experienced seasickness from island hopping, Chef Andi thoughtfully prepared a herbal tea that instantly relieved my headache. There were so many wonderful staff members whose names I can’t recall, but what amazed me most was how they all remembered ours! Their warmth and hospitality made us feel truly special. We stayed for five nights, yet when it was time to leave, it felt like we were leaving a piece of our hearts behind. This hotel is truly one-of-a-kind, and we will definitely return—especially since the kids had such an unforgettable experience.

Since we visited during the wet season, we noticed a lot of small millipedes outside our room, and occasionally, a few made their way inside. There were even more along the buggy roads, but thankfully, the hotel provided buggies for transportation, making it convenient to get around. Another thing to note is that during the rainy season, the water tends to be murky. I imagine the experience would be even more spectacular during the dry season when the water is clearer. Of course, this isn’t the hotel’s fault—it’s just nature taking its course.

Everything is great in this hotel! The rooms are big, the beds are very comfortable and cozy, the service is amazing, the food is delicious and the people are incredible!
