We had private rooms and they were good for the money

It didn’t feel much like a homestay. Little interaction although pleasant when you asked for something. A little out the way but close to paddy fields.

This family operated homestay is very good value for money and is ideally located within a local neighbourhood but away from the main road (but close enough for a casual stroll - a Winmart, local food shops, a few restaurants, coffee shops etc.) and adjacent to large, scenic farmlands (great for sunset strolls - watching the locals go about their daily business). Their rooms are basic but adequately furnished and equipped, with private bathrooms. My A/C room was the largest room on the premises, with two, medium-soft, comfortable beds (5 out of 10 on the hard mattress scale), a small refrigerator, a wooden wardrobe (not 100% functional), a wall mounted fan, a tiny wooden desk (with a mirror and a tiny padded stool), and 2x bedside tables (actually more like wooden boxes which can be used for bedside tables). I found the room to be acceptably clean and modestly decorated. However, it was not problem free....my window would shut, but not lock and would pop ajar when the door was shut (due to air pressure). Although this is worthy of a mention it didn't pose a problem for me (nearly two years of travelling all around Vietnam I have never had any of my possessions stolen...and on the whole, the Vietnamese are a very trustworthy people). Unfortunately, the biggest problem I experienced was the loud dogs that barked frequently throughout the night, and as the rooms are poorly insulated (lacking good soundproofing materials) caused me several disturbed sleeps and was a bit annoying (and I think one of these noisy dogs was their poodle....but not 100% sure). The private bathroom was adequate and fairly clean, and with good, long lasting hot water but weak water pressure...this is probably why the hot water lasts so long (it gets a chance to heat in the storage system nearly as fast as it is used). You may struggle getting all the shampoo out of when washing your hair???

Unfortunately, the biggest problem I experienced was the loud dogs that barked frequently throughout the night, and as the rooms are poorly insulated (lacking good soundproofing materials) caused me several disturbed sleeps and was a bit annoying (and I think one of these noisy dogs was their poodle....but not 100% sure).

I got a very warm welcome and was given tea as part of my arrival. The family running it were friendly and helpful. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable and the bathroom well decorated and nice to use. A nice breakfast was provided in the morning and free bananas from a bunch hung on the fence. The location was lovely.

The location of the homestay is ideal. It’s not far from the main road, close to everything visitors may need and it’s situated at a peaceful and quiet corner just right next to rice paddies which provides a breath-taking panorama. Our room was booked for an affordable price, very clean and looks just like on the pictures. We couldn’t use the pool as it has been under renovation just like the surroundings but it was still pleasant to hang around there. We could rent a good motorbike for a reasonable price. The owners were really friendly, hospitable and flexible. They helped to organize our trip back to Hanoi which was fast and comfortable. I can just recommend this place.

It would have been a plus to use the pool but we still can't complain at all.

There's pool, it's next to rice fields ,you get free bicycle and the hosts are friendly

A confortable homestay managed by a lovely family. They are servicial and nice. It's located near the rice fields with great views. You can use their bycicles or rent a motorbike. The pool is cool to refresh yourself and breakfast is ban mhi with fried eggs.
