Casa Argenti

We loved staying at Casa Argenti. It is beautifully restored set of buildings in the castle of Arrone. The rooms are well styled and comfortable. The owner, Elga, is a delight and very helpful.

The service was superb. We were greeted by Marco on arrival and shown to our room. It was a good sized room with a lovely modern powerful shower. I explained to Marco that I had tried to organise a taxi to move our case the next day but the taxi driver wasn’t answering my texts and calls. Marco tried calling without success and he then offered to take the suitcase the following day for a small fee. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant adjoining the accommodation and enjoyed both.

The location, within castle walls, was spectacular, the views were stunning, and the hosts made the visit memorable with their hospitality and delicious food. Be sure to opt-in for the dinner! The bedroom and bathroom were updated while retaining the original character. We didn’t want to leave this magical place.

Host Elga was very friendly and helpful and cooked an amazing dinner for us. The apartment was beautiful. Location ideal for the pilgrimage walk.

Beautiful location in historic centre of Arrone beside church and tower. The house has been beatifully and sympathetically restored and is stunning. Elga was a really kind and lovely host. I had the Pilgim's meal which had an amazing assortment of antipasti from meats, cheese fondue with honey, homemade pumpkin dip to die , olives and some other specialties. This was then followed with gorgeous squid pasta and wine. One of my tastiest meals. It was my ninth stay since arriving in Rome and doing the Via Francesco to Assisi and was my favourite to date. Highly recommend.

Situated in one of Italy’s most beautiful villages with the most amazing host. The accommodation and hospitality were second to none. Communication with Elga was amazing. Not to be missed!

We stayed at Casa Argenti as part of our Cammino St Francesco. Our host, Elga, was a delight! She warmly welcomed us, fed us exceptionally well and we stayed in a beautifully restored Casa. We strongly recommend you stay there too and enjoy the comfort and hospitality.

Our stay at Casa Argenti in Arrone was the highlight of our two week trip to Italy. The B&B is small with a tiny restaurant next door. Marco, the owner’s husband, was truely remarkable and made us feel more like family members. Arrone is unspoilt; a classic medieval hill top village devoid of tourists with a small church only 25 yards from the property that contains frescoes painted by Caravaggio’s tutor.
