Very confortable and beautiful place to stay with a perfect localization. Good communication and customer service.

We stayed at the Pharmacia Guesthouse in Coimbra, Portugal on May 6, 2024. It was in a great location in the middle of town. There was a nice rooftop deck on the fifth floor. The room was clean. However, it was noisy (you can hear what’s happening on multiple floors). Parking is about 1/2 a kilometer away. Overall, it is a utilitarian place to stay – not much in the way of amenities but it is a good value with a great location and clean room.

I enjoyed my stay here - it's right on the main street of Coimbra, a short walk from the river and the Coimbra A train station. My room was well-equipped, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. But I never saw anyone who worked for the hotel! They sent me codes to open the front door and my assigned room. No breakfast here, but several good choices out the front door to the left toward the river. It's a good hike up to the famous Baroque Library (Joanina Library) at the Universidade de Coimbra, for which a reservation is needed. You only get 10 minutes inside, but it's the must-see attraction of Coimbra.

Great location ! Clean and the ambiance is truly amazing , brings you back to the history of Coimbra. We we’re grateful to meet the owner who gave us some history of the building. Highly recommend staying there, we will be back! From Canada

We really liked this place, although we ended up in the attic apartment and found it a touch small, especially the bathroom. Terrific location and easy to find. I think it must be run by ghosts though. There was nobody in the lobby when we checked in or out again. In fact I didn't see another person in the building the whole time I was there. (I did here voices in a couple of rooms though)

Excelente hotel en el corazón de Coimbra. Inmejorable ubicación y te hacen sentir como en casa. Pedir el código de entrada antes de llegar, o llamar para que te lo proporcionen. Nos encantó el hotel.

Comfortable and clean but could have used towel replacement only we never saw anyone who worked there. Never got the codes to access the property or our room, but luckily someone was coming out as we were arriving and there were contact phone numbers in the lobby.
