Clean, spacious apartment.

Booked the accommodation for the pool for the children. On arrival, pool was empty and being renovated. Received a sub par refund (approx £174) after having to book different accommodation 3 nights in to the 7 night holiday.

GAS LEAK!!!! Very very strong smell of gas whenever the hot water was in use. Not ideal and the smell persisted even when windows were open. Health and safety risk!!! Management company Homing not at all helpful when this issue was raised yet it posed a risk to us as a family of 3 adults and 3 young children. BROKEN GLASS ON FLOOR!!! On arrival, there was a lot of broken glass on the floor near the front door. Not ideal as I travelled with 3 young children and one of them got a piece of glass stuck in their foot. Very hard to see the broken glass as it was on white tiles. PLEASE TAKE CARE!! TOILET LEAK!!! One of the toilets had a leak. Very very strong smell of urine and lots of fluid on the bathroom floor. Contacted Homing the management company but nothing was done. VERY HOT/VERY COLD WATER IN SHOWER & BATHROOM!! The shower and bathroom water temperature is not uniform. It switches between extremely hot to extremely cold unexpectedly. We had a very near miss when one of the children was having a shower. NO LIFT!!! We were on the second floor and had to carry over 12 suitcases to the apartment. We travelled as a family of 6 so this was not ideal. NO AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING!!! Apartments have no air condition or heating system. They get very hot or cold. Opening or closing windows does not help. MUSTY/ MOULDY SMELL IN BEDDING!! Entire apartment is very dated. Bedding had a musty and mouldy smell and so did the entire apartment. BROKEN TILES IN SWIMMING POOL AND POOL NOT CLEANED!! The swimming pool had some broken and loose tiles. My son hurt himself swimming in there. Additionally, there were lots of leaves and some tree brunches in both pools as it was very windy and apartment is very near the beach. The swimming pool is not cleaned and maintained on a daily basis, posing a health and safety risk. If you want to swim, you need to take care and first clean the pool yourself by picking out leaves and brunches.

This apartment lacks heating and air conditioning, making it extremely cold during the winter months. I’m certain I won’t be returning if this issue isn’t resolved.

Spacious apartment in a great location and sun on the balcony all day.

The washing machine wasn’t working and the owner didn’t want to replace it. Homing was excellent and helped with our laundry which we were very grateful for. The cooker was old but that was getting replaced . They could do with replacing the plates and cups.

Location

No safety in apartment. For example the cooker was old & rusty with no safety cut out knobs. The boiler had an exhaust smell. There was no smoke alarm. No fire extinguisher or blanket.

Location was beautiful but out of the way of things if you have someone in the group that has difficulty walking. No Lift.

(1)I did not like receiving the rental info on how to pick up keys from a rental office the night before we travel so that affected our taxi destination that we had already arranged and nearly cost us money as we had to go into Vilamoura first to a rental office to pick up key. (2)We wanted 2 sets of keys so had to pay for the 2nd set and instead of leaving both in the property on leaving on final day we had to go back into Vilamoura to drop the 2nd set off which did not make sense and was a nuisence. (3)No Lift to our floor. (4)The photos made it look much newer and cleaner when in fact furniture covers were marked and made it look shabby. The fridge shelving was damaged and the fridge light would only sometimes come on. The smaller bathroom had a damaged shower tray and no lock on door. (5)Although there was hot water to shower it kept jumping from hot to cold due to the water system. So never an enjoyable experience. (6)No local information pamphlets within the rental such as places to visit and restaurants and no bus information such as timetables or location of buses.

Everything 3 bedrooms with 3 double beds short distance to either Marina or Quarteira. Great value

Showers were poor. Washing machine needs replacing. But would book this accommodation again in a flash.

Good size bedrooms

Hot water was terrible in the main bathroom. Hot shower for 20 secs then just went cold. The smaller shower room was better but still fluctuated in temperature. Also washing machine had no door on it.
