Large, clean, bright room. Lovely bathroom with an excellent shower. Very comfortable bed. Quiet at night, no street noise. Helpful reception staff. Great location to see Porto sights.

The service at breakfast was very poor. The food itself was good and very varied but the food items and crockery and cutlery were not adequately replenished. We went to breakfast at many different times, both early and late and this seemed to be the case at all times. Breakfast was served from 7.00am - 10.30am and one morning at 7.45am the staff were still preparing the tables and bringing out the food items. Nearly every day one of the two coffee sites had no cups or spoons. An empty honey squeezy bottle was there two days running whilst a large honeycomb was positioned in such a way that it was difficult to extract the honey from it. Several consecutive days, there were no black tea bags. I asked for them on two occasions. The first time they supplied some but on the second occasion I was told there were none available. I went back to my room to retrieve the two that were on the in-room tea/coffee tray. This tray was replenished daily. Why did the dining room staff not go to the chambermaid station to get some black tea bags?
