GRANDE HOTEL PARIS by STAY HOTELS

Family of four , I reserve 2 queen rooms . Rooms were spacious . But the day of check in , chaos . It took us almost 2hrs after check in . Everyone was tired . Stingy everyday with amenities . Shampoo super small and they do not refill anything . They give one card . Room 302 smells musty , honestly feels moldy that I woke up with a sore throat and got sick . Stingy all around , with the little things . Not acceptable for a 4star hotel . We couldve just stayed near by and saved more money

Très beau séjour dans cet hôtel de Porto .. le breakfast est très cher et très simple .. message pour l’hôtel d’améliorer l’offre .. pas de confiture . Pas de choix et beurre en barquette de 8g .. personnel très gentil et très serviable .. une très belle esperience quand même .. très beau jardin

The hotel is in a good location. The member of staff that checked us in was not friendly. The room was good and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was good enough.

A nice, trafitional hotel in the center of town with a nice garden and a good breakfast

They charge high but you get cheap. Housekeeping is outsourced. You have to leave the "clean my room" sign outside your door and manage their outsourced staff (for free) as no one will enter the room to make your bed, clean, top up loo roll or toiletries unless you say so. I can now add "hotel manager" to my CV after a stay of 4 days here. Expect thin loo roll, the minimum amount of toiletries that they can get away with. They left complimentary water: 1 small bottle for two as they can't afford to leave one bottle per person. This hotel is a joke. If something disappears from your room they will probably say it is not their responsibility so as I am still here at the hotel I will pack my luggage every day and leave it with reception. At least no one will get away with "we don't know, you have to speak with the company that we outsource". There is no safe in the room so recipe for disaster. Only thing of value: the staff. I hope they can find a better hotel to employ them that is not managed by Mr Ebenezer Scrooge. Shame for Porto. My hometown. I am embarrassed by the way this chain treats their customers. Stay away. You are just a number and all they care about is your money. I filled a complaint in "livro de reclamações". Ask for it if you arrived to this review too late to cancel your reservation and are unhappy too. Shame. Shame. Shame.

The architecture might be fin de siecle, but this hotel was certainly not a 4-star experience. The beds went unmade, their was a charge for additional bottled water provided in the room after the "welcome gift" bottle on day 1, and the breakfast was of mediocre quality and not good value. The impression I got was that the management was wise to the cost of everything provided, but not on providing value for money.

Excellent room, newly refurbished, on ground floor though, and on a Saturday night in porto it get loud on the street, up to about 5am.

The hotel is quite nice overall, nevertheless, if you get a room at the lower floors you will not be sleeping well. Also the staff.. it is a mix bag, some are polite and act accordingly, others act like you work for them :)) .. so they should work more on the training.

Very good location, close to everything on porto. Didnt have the break fast so i cant say anything about that. Could leave my bag at the reception when i arrived before i could check in to my room. The only downside is that when i took a shower the whole bathroom floor was flooded. Wich led to the carpet outside was soaking wet for one day and never dried fully the days i spent there. I told the girls in the reception, but they didnt seem to get it and all i got to disk up the water was a small floor towel. Other than that i have nothing to complain about.
