San Michele al Castello

Our hostess, Sonja, and her entire staff were super helpful. When we had trouble navigating the streets to their location, Sonja came and picked us up at the municipal plaza, and one of her staff members parked our car in a more accessible parking lot. Although the staff did not speak English (Sonja does) they ministered to our every need using Google translate. The B&B is beautifully decorated with all modern features.

Nothing, I will never forget the kindness and care they provided. My wife and I were suffering from severe food poisoning and associated dehydration when we arrived. They brought us water/tea, asked what else they could do, and checked on our recovery.

Almost everything! It was a perfect location with very helpful and friendly staff who felt more like family. If you are driving, please make sure you get them to help you navigate to the closest public parking area, because the medieval town centre is a maze of narrow streets you will not be able to negotiate yourself!

The only minor criticism is that there was no safe in the room, but given the location, it is highly unlikely that your possessions are at any risk at all.

Very special stay in a residence within old city walls, with a small garden for breakfast overlooking the Tuscan valley. Parking is 250 m away from the hotel, but staff helped us with luggage.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. All was good.

Breakfast was excellent, superb staff and brilliant stay overall. Very happy.

After coming from the hectic nature of the larger Italian cities and towns, arriving in Castiglion Fiorentino was bliss. Sonia picked me up from the train station and took me back to the accommodation which was incredible. A bed and breakfast at its core but delivered with love. And the location? Breathtaking!

Amazingly beautiful and convenient location Rooms clean, lovely, incredible views, comfortable. Staff attentive, interesting, helpful, and kind. Breakfast amazing!

Miscommunication with the host resulted in our missing our taxi and waiting outside for her to send her very sweet father to try to figure out the keys and let us into the the room.
