Matriz 55, Hostel & Suites

Sin duda repetiríamos!!! :D ANFITRIONES: Magníficos. Hacen que te sientas en casa, acompañado y seguro. Muy atentos a cualquier cosa que puedas necesitar. Se relacionan con los huéspedes de manera cercana. Comprometidos a que tu estancia sea maravillosa, tanto en el hostal como en la isla. Todo un ejemplo para otros negocios del sector. COCINA/DESAYUNO: Productos de km0 (locales) y de muy buena calidad. Mucha variedad en las opciones que ofrecen. Personal de cocina muy atento y amable, siempre dispuestas a cubrir las necesidades de los huéspedes. LIMPIEZA: Habitaciones muy limpias (juego de cama, suelo, baño, set de toallas...).

Hay que tener en cuenta que, al compartir habitación con otras personas, puede haber situaciones que interrumpan tu sueño... Si sabes que eres una persona que ronca, por ejemplo, evita elegir habitaciones compartidas (para no incordiar a los demás huéspedes durante toda la noche). Los anfitriones harán lo posible para que la situación cambie (nos ofreciernos tapones para las orejas), pero hay que ser consciente de las posibilidades reales que tienen (ej. si no hay otra habitación en la que reubicar a alguien que ronca mucho, tendrán que aguantarle hasta que se vaya). Para cada huésped, añadiría una toalla para salir de la ducha (junto con el set de toalla de cuerpo y de manos/cabeza). Compartir la misma con todos los de la habitación no es muy higiénico, aunque la cambien cada día (se moja demasiado; huele mal al final del día porque no se seca; se ensucia; etc).

Charmante auberge très propre et chaleureuse. Délicieux petit-déjeuner. Très bel accueil de la part de Suzana et Pedro, qui sont des hôtes hors-pair et offre un accueil très personnalisé. Je suis aussi contente d'avoir pu pratiquer mon portugais avec eux. La présence des chats (ah Eusebio!) nous fait sentir comme à la maison. Si vous aimez les auberges chaleureuse à dimension humaine et où l'on fait de belles rencontres, n'hésitez pas une seconde à réserver ici. Un salut cordial du Québec :-)

The hosts were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! (I mean this from the bottom of my heart) I am so very impressed by their hospitality. The hostel was very clean, great location, and the breakfast was delicious!!! I want to visit again just for the orange cake and company. Additionally, United Airlines lost my bag and the hosts were so sweet trying to help me through the situation.

Matriz 55 is lovely, modern, clean and comfortable, with very friendly and kind staff. The breakfast is a treat, with lots of local produce and products, and the location is handy to the waterfront, Mercado Graca, and shops, sites and restaurants. Because it's so central, there's some activity on the street at night, but it didn't interfere with sleeping, and Pedro gave us earplugs just in case (which I didn't need to use). Great shower, just overall very comfortable and pleasant.

Very nice hosts and staff at the hostel. Very clean.

The house and location make it a good centrale place to stay in Ponta Delgada. It is however the hosts : Suzanna and Pedro that allowed me to enjoy my stay 100%. Happend to be there at the height of the Semana Santa, both did go out of their way to make us, guests , feel very welcomed. Rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. The breakfast, all of locale produce, was tops. As I was crewing up in Horta, I found out some good sailing info from Pedro. Allways ready to share some information, they guided me to find a great place to rent a moped, to investigate some of the island. Definitely recommend and would stay again! Obrigodo Suzanne and Pedro.

Was not applicable for me, wished I could have stayed longer!
