Firefly Eco Lodge

Open rice field at the front and balcony overlooking the palm forest at the back. Fireflies at night were magical, roaming across the rice field. 3 minutes walk from Sweet Orange, with the best Ayam Salad so far. Serene, cool room, good size with self sustained kitchenette. Outdoor shower is amazing. Location is just a stone thrown away from the hustling bustling main road of Ubud and 10’ walk to the Ubud Palace. Very convenient yet secluded enough. Love everything about it. On the flip side, if you would like to have amenities around you and not so fond of being immersed in pure nature, this place might not be for you.

We stayed in the 4th story tree house and it was out of this world. The sunset was amazing from this hight. The common areas were so relaxing and welcoming, my husband arrived and fell asleep for a few hours! It's a hidden gem, it's so quiet and peaceful it's just what I thought balibwould be. The food was great, very fresh and warm. I recommend the pancakes for breakie. The staff were great and all directions given to us were very good and accurate. We had a few suitcases as we were in bali for 2 weeks and the staff had no issues with transporting them foe us to the tree house baggage area. The outdoor shower is a real treat too.

I just want to say my stay was excellent, staff there were very attentive and cheerful, the place is unique which you can’t compare it to anything, menu pricing is reasonable too, I saw their efforts in creating comfy environment for the guests, if I ever come back to Ubud, I’ll definitely stay again!!

This stay is Amazing! The only thing I can think of is the shower wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t cold either. The lobby is stunning, view incredible, food was great, and the staff were superb. I would highly recommend this stay.

I liked it.

My husband and I came across Firefly on a walk back to our accommodation nearby. It is very pretty and nicely decorated. However no one came to greet us, all 3 staff were just at the side of the bar together just staring at us. After a few minutes my husband went up to the bar to order our drinks, to which they continued to clearly talk about us and stare. Still not coming over to serve us! We obviously left. Felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

We stayed in the birds nest over New Years 2022/2023, nests 4, 3, and ground floor (and "climbing up" the bamboo steps to the 4th nest makes you appreciate how high things are ... hold on tight!!). No doors, no lighting, loads of mosquitoes, 30oC heat, and you knew it was 18:51 each day as a million cicadas started chirping all in concert. It was a glorious once in a lifetime experience. The place is compact, the photos are very representative, and 2mins down the road is another restaurant and pool and all at exceptionally affordable prices.
