Royal Inn Suites

Pool is nice, breakfast adequate but could use more items. Only fruit, cereal, yogurt, & bagels. No hot items at all. The landscaping was definitely improved from last year.

Room was recently updated about 2 years ago but they never cleaned up the paint issues on the walls, everywhere you looked there was something that needed to be fixed. Slight imperfections but it did not make you feel welcome. Interior blackout curtains full of holes on one side, sticky floor when we arrived that we had to clean and issues with smells across the hall. One of the lights still doesn't work over the double sinks. The bathroom smelled like urine the whole time, it was apparent they did not scrub out the toilets. There was a misunderstanding with the difference between a king suite and a king jacuzzi suite. When they showed us the floor size between the two rooms that King suite was not even worth the upgrade, it was basically about 3 ft more space on one side of the room but otherwise looked like a regular King room. The jacuzzi suite is spacious but the furniture is very dated. You can tell that the couch and the draperies are from the previous ownership when it was rodeway inn. We never received any housekeeping or clean towels unless we requested them at the desk so there was no tip for housekeeping either. In my opinion all the hotels there are overpriced and there are few options. If you can book ahead of time, I would recommend try one of the bnbs or airbnbs in the area..

Vending machines empty, hallways had an odor. Not enough towels and washrags.

We didn't even get a chance to stay. It was overbooked, which is not the hotels fault. Expedia, you are on the hook for messing up. However, the lady at the front desk was super helpful in finding us accommodations at a different hotel.

The air conditioner in the room took awhile to cool down the room was hot for about 4 hours

After check in, we drove around back of the hotel to park. As soon as got there, there was a crackhead sitting on the sidewalk with 2 children and she was watching someone working on her jacked up car. After we grabbed out luggage and headed the rear door we noticed the card reader to let you in was completely missing. So absolutely no safety because anyone could inside. On that note, the nearest camera was about 100 feet down the hall. Our room was the 4th room down that hall. No vending machine. A distinct odor in the hall. The complimentary breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, bagels, mini muffins , yogurt and dried cereal. There seemed to be alot of people always hanging around the back of building. Unless its absolutely necessary, i wouldnt stay here again.
