New World Hoiana Beach Resort

Wrt the beach resort section of the hotel I like that our room was facing the beach and pools and that it was in close proximity to the beach unlike other resorts where the hotel rooms are quite set back from the beach and you need to walk quite a distance. I like that the rooms are non-smoking. We rented a one bedroom, and I like that it was very well appointed. Spacious, had great vibes and very very comfortable. The furniture and fittings were all quality. The staff throughout were all very lovely, friendly, had pride in their work. The complimentary airport pick up/drop off service. Really nice welcome in-room drinks and fruit Kids club - sublime. Indoor and outdoor activities. Club lounge - memorable food. My toddler loves the upgraded ice cream and we loved the smoked, slow cook beef ribs. Cove (pool side) - husband and toddler loved the pasta and meatballs. The best they’ve both had. Buffet breakfast - We ate here for three days and haven’t discovered it all.

I didn’t like cigarette smells wafting through the lobby area and attach food court section. I don’t know where it was coming from but perhaps a designated smoking area or the casino attached to the hotel. Restaurants, lifts etc in the hotel building on the casino side had a very strong cigarette smells as well which made the experience unpleasant. Building and construction - Small things like laying laminate floor boards down on uneven floors = squeaky floors and you can feel uneven floor underfoot. Shower head - too heavy and can be a safety issue esp for young children taking a shower. Additionally, no further additional spray function. Of the above, the smoking smell as you approach the casino was the biggest detractor.

Le cadre, le confort

The property had an expansive selection of activities and dining for everyone. We really enjoyed the waterslides, the beach club, and the club lounge that we had access to. The breakfast was amazing, there were so many options for the whole family and many different cuisines. The beach club was nice and quiet as we came during the rainy season. We had a wonderful lunch on our last day at Osteria. The staff were very attentive. The bowling alley was still under construction, but the kids loved the arcade. Our boys loved the whole trip, especially the kids club, waterslide, arcade, and all the good food.

It was quite far from anything, including the old town and even further from the airport than most hotels. The beds were firm but the pillows were down so I woke up with a sore neck every morning. Perhaps should have asked for an alternative. We booked a big suite and our older son, even though he was 11, needed a pull out bed which they charged us extra for. In the gym, there is no staff there. The treadmills looked dirty and the equipment was old for a relatively new hotel. They could definitely invest money for new equipment and machines. Not great but not bad. There were spider webs next to my bedside air conditioning but the staff cleaned it once I informed them

Very clean and modern hotel, very close to the beach with beautiful walkways to the beach. A Casino and other restaurants around the hotel makes it very enjoyable as you can try other dishes.

I liked everything except the food was a little bit limiting with no much choices for other cuisine.

공항 셔틀을 이용해서 이동했고 호이안 올드 타운도 셔틀을 이용해서 나갔어요. 근데 생각보다 나갈일이 없어요. 안에 놀게 너무 많아요. 풀장 시설, 조식, 룸 컨디션, 직원들 서비스 말할것 없이 훌륭하고 벌레도 별루 없고요 추석연휴에 와서 한국사람 많을줄 알았는데 인구밀도 자체가 많지않아 너무 쾌적했어요. 카지노도 무섭지않고 깨끗해서 구경하기 재미있었구요.

The pools, rooms and other facilities are modern, spacious and fancy! Lovely views of the beach. The breakfast was incredible. It's a fair distance away from Hoi An, about 20 minutes by car, but that was fine and means it's nice and quiet. The cleaners do an incredible job each day of keeping the rooms nice and clean. We had some issues with our bath tap breaking (twice) but the online support team sent someone straight away to fix it.

We really looked forward to this treat at the end of our holiday around Vietnam, but whilst the facilities are incredible, in our experience, the service was so appalling at times, that we cannot recommend this resort to others. Overall we were left feeling disappointed and actually quite unwelcome and keen to leave. Throughout the 4 nights we stayed there, multiple staff members we interacted with in some (not all) areas of the resort, were either disinterested, distracted on their phones or flat out rude.. the opposite to everyone else we've met in our travels throughout Vietnam. We stayed during the off peak season so there were barely any guests, and plenty of staff, however we received no proactive service, eg: no offers of a menu, some water, a towel, a smile, the basics really, let alone 5 star resort service. This was particularly apparent with the staff in the pool area, the Cove (next to the pool) and Play (a kids club, where I would not feel comfortable leaving my children, even if I could - not that they allow it!). Again, not all staff members were like this by any means. The room service attendants, the cleaners, were all so attentative and lovely. The people we engaged with online were also helpful. But the staff we interacted with the most, in the common areas, really put a dampener on our time there and we will not return or recommend it to our friends.
