Republic Hostel Cat Ba

Blown away by the staffs hospitality! The owner, Thang, was so kind, generous, and helpful. He is an expert about Catba and can provide great recommendations. His English is perfect so there was no trouble communicating as there was at some of my other hostels. The location is away from the tourist center, which makes it more laid back and relaxing. I rented a motorbike from them to get around. The hostel feels very new, modern, and trendy. They are doing many renovations now. Great value for the money! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely and caring owners, nice and clean rooms, creative and well designed outdoor area with swimming pool - everything you need to relax and socialize in Cat Ba!

Location is a few minutes out of town but you can rent scooters for a cheap price at the hostel or take a taxi.

Completely enjoyed. Clean and cosy room and space around, lovely staff. Definitely it’s a place you wan’t want to leave.

Very Welcoming host. A Nice relaxing vibe with the plants and the swimming pool. There were many places to sit and relax, they were very inventive with their space :) A locker for valuable stuff, they can arrange Rent of motorbike, Nice bar with many drinks, arrange a Nice Boat Tour for a fair price, Evening Dinner, ... It was great!

It was away from the centre, but very duable when you have a motorbike. There weren't curtains on every bunkbed, but it is a very new hostel so many upgrades are still to come, they said :)

the rooms, they are clean but the walls are unfortunately dirty. the view is not nice and you need a motorbike to get around

Lovely social hostel, pool, bar. We had a bbq hotpot night. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it’s very clean. Can also rent motorbikes from hostel for cheap.

Property is an hour walk on a busy road or 15 min drive from main town. So fine if you can drive a bike but there’s nothing near by. Beds are quite hard!

staffs were very friendly and remembers our name. young staff cooked really nice pork noodles with eggs for 70 k vnd. they also taught us how to ride a motorbike. arranged for tour and ensured that we depart hostel safely throughout our stay. good vibes hostel at the pool.
