Republic Hostel Cat Ba

Loved the cats, cannot express enough how amazing they were. The staff were so accommodating and even helped organise a cake for our friend’s bday. Loved our stay and they also had great food and vibes.

The only minor thing was the beds being a bit hard, otherwise that was incredibly good stay.

The unlimited free breakfast was really good. It's super easy to rent a bike for a day or even half day for quite cheap. It's out of town so quieter, overall a chill place with a good atmosphere. Most of all the staff were really nice and helpful, i was planning to stay a day or 2 before moving more in Cat Ba city, and I ended up staying 7 days there !

You have to be aware that it's a bit far from everything, so I'd recommend driving a bike.

I loved the staff. They were very nice and attentive. The cafeteria was a big space and they provided free breakfast.

The bathroom was a bit unclean and flooded a bit . The bed was also uncomfortable and it’s a little bit far from town. I wish it was more sociable

Super helpful staff, cute kids and kitties come with the property. I love the ambiance of the garden with the pool. The kitchen is nice and looooveed their breakfast. Made a lot of friends here.

They opened not 6 months ago so upgrading and beautifying some elements but it’s regardless a great stay.

Need a scooter to get to town, scooters were expensive and not in the best shape. 120k / day when mot other places were 60-100k. A lot of them were missing mirrors, etc. They need to do a better job cleaning the bathroom, I was there 3 nights and they never cleaned the en suite bathroom sink. Also the curtains on the bunks are weird because the bottom one covers the ladder when closed so I needed to open a persons curtain a little to climb up. I did end up meeting people but it wasn’t the most social hostel.

The staff is amazing. They’ve helped me so much for bookings ! Made my stay great !

Both the owner and the staff are amazing, so as the place that makes it definitely in one of the best hotels I’ve ever been
