Sứ Retreat Hoi An - Riverfront Resort

The entire staff were so welcoming and friendly. Special shoutout to James and Sue who really went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable - they even got me a birthday cake! The whole staff provided us with plenty of local recommendations. The pool was lovely to hang from with delicious drinks from the bar. Great breakfast options, lots of fresh juices, they'll customise your eggs, they also have lots of different breakfast noodle options to try. Easy to get to from Da Nang, we arranged a pickup through the hotel which was really convenient and affordable. It's in a quiet, tranquil village. Location wise, you can get to the old town fairly easy (around 20mins in a Grab). There's also lots of walkable restaurants nearby. Would recommend booking the spa as soon as you check in to make sure you get a spot, our massages were heavenly.

Su Retreat was a perfect hub to explore Hoi An and the area. Its a 15 minute Grab ride or a half hour walk into Hoi An (if you're comfortable walking along the street. I promise you, it isnt bad at all). The resort itself is welll maintained and tranquil. We were greeted upon arrival with refreshments while the Reception explained check-in. Alice and Sue of the Front Desk were extremely helpful. They helped book excursions, arranged transportation to and from the airport, provided us bikes to explore the area, recommended tailors, leather workers, restaurants, and places for manicures and pedicures. They communicated with us through WhatsApp whenever we were outside of the resort and were quick to respond. One of the people in my group fell ill and they worked to help take care of him by bringing food and tea while he recovered. They truly cared for his health and checked up on him frequently. Alice and Sue made our stay exceptional. We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa. The villa was immaculate and smelled of lemongrass. Each bedroom had an attached bathroom and came with toiletries, towels, indoor and outdoor slippers, bathrobes, complimentary drinks, blow dryers, and more. AC worked perfectly as did water pressure and hot water for showers. The villa also had a half bath. Breakfast was fair. They had made to order eggs, beef soup, various breads and pasteries, fresh fruits, and rotation of main dishes. We did eat dinner there. Dinner was okay, but we enjoyed the restaurants in Hoi An more. Alcoholic drinks were tasty and strong. The staff of Nancy, James, and the other working the dining room were extremely friendly, attentive, and kept us coming back. For a new resort, they were top notch!

Restaurant wasn't bad, but was not great. You have more variety outside in Hoi An. However, if you dont feel like leaving the resort, it'll be just fine.
