"A gem!"

This is a gem! Clean, comfortable rooms, great mattress, spacious, nice 60’s decor. There were some extra things like printed directions for remote, heat, and area info. The larger covered trash can was a nice touch. The common guest closet has all sorts of great stuff and I grabbed an extra blanket. The owners have put some thought into this place when they remodeled.

The Motel Bear Lake was all we wanted it to be My sister and I were born in the 50s and vacationed in Northern Michigan during our childhood. We met the owner during our stay and discovered that her desire to restore the motel to it's former 1960s glory is a labor of love based on her childhood memories. That brings a magic to the Motel Bear Lake! The beds were awesome and our check in was seamless with the no front desk and keypad lock. Thank you Motel Bear Lake for a wonderful 3rd annual sister weekend!!

This is such a cute and unique place.The king bed was new and awesome.check in was sooo easy. Beautiful lake right across the street.Would love to come back when weather is warmer to use the pool.It looks awesome.So glad someone cares enough to revamp old ,instead of tearing down.Much more spacious than most hotels.We will definitely be returning.
