"If you fish and Hunt great place to stay"

If you are an outdoorsman and fishing the trout stream nearby or hunting this is where you want to stay. They offer a great breakfast at low price. This is a "motor Lodge" set up with small rooms. This isn't nice any normal standards. But it is clean and you won't find a less expensive place to stay for fishing or hunting in NE iowa. One thing. There is NO cell service.

"Great place"

Particularly for hunting and fishing in the area, this is a great place. Run by Jack and Kathy, Sportsmen Motel has nine rooms and a grill for breakfast and lunch. The beds are comfortable, as are the rooms themselves. There are no phones, which is perfect for a beautiful getaway. There is great trout fishing, turkey and deer hunting within easy reach; there is also an eagles' nest 1/4 of a mile away. Dinner is available in town at Wings in Dorchester, or up the road in Caledonia (Good Times Supper Club is best). I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
