Silver Sands Motel & Beach Bungalows

We stayed at Silver Sands Motel this summer and had a wonderful time. The accommodation was fantastic and the setting amazing, but the best bit was the customer service. Manager David couldn't do enough to help make our stay as good as it could be and we really felt that he cared about us and about making sure that our stay was hugely enjoyable.

Had a fantastic experience. We stayed in a beach hut which was clean and spacious. Everything you need is right there from a bar, restaurant, breakfast place to your own private beach. It was so peaceful and clean. Highly recommend.

Silver Sands is a gem. A very special place to visit and experience. Charming and cool at the same time. Fabulous service and located close to Greenport on the water. Great dining options at Nookies and Eddie’s. Close to the vineyards. We have been there twice and can’t wait to return. And the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating.

We’ve stayed at several properties in the Greenport area and this was our first time at Silver Sands; we loved it! The rooms were updated, clean and cute. The beach access was a huge plus, as well as on site restaurants. They don’t charge for parking (as some hotels nearby are starting to do) and the location is central to Greenport Village and the wineries. We went for an anniversary trip and stayed in the motel section but would definitely come back with the kids and try out the bungalows! Overall great trip and would recommend to others; we will be back!

Can’t wait to go back

We wanted a relaxing beach week a short distance from NYC, and prefer small thoughtful accomodation. Silver Sands was perfect. Our beach shack, a sweet little house with a porch and private backyard shower was super. It had everything we needed and was kept immaculate. The grounds here are wonderful. The North Fork is one of natures wonders. The owners have taken care to preserve and enhance the property. The beach is rocky! Bring foot gear. Water is warm clean and calm. Great for swimming or relaxing on a sun chair and listening to the surf. The restaurants are busy and the food is nice! People come here from all over the Island. Dinner on the beach at Eddie’s Oyster Bar is a treat. The vibe is casual chic, menu is innovative and very tasty. A good winelist and nice service. It was clear throughout our visit that great teamwork is in play at Silver Sands. Nookies is the indoor restaurant Its a playful menu of classic, nostalgic happy food. Giant chocolate chip cookies, burgers deluxe, root beer …the coffee is great, and its very busy. Silver Sands Motel & Beach Bungalows is a 5 star experience.

Beautiful renovated rooms! Stayed in one bedroom bungalow which was really spacious and convenient with two kids. The rooms are really well maintained. We had an issue with one of the blinds that was missing and they fixed it within an hour. we enjoyed breakfast at nookies! Staff was super friendly!
