Silver Sands Motel & Beach Bungalows

Best time!

We just returned from our second stay at Silver Sands and can’t wait to return. We’ve been visiting the North Fork for 20 years and enjoy the combination of the private beach with the proximity to the village of Greenport, not to mention the great food at Nookie’s & Eddie’s.

Great experience!

Silver Sands is the BEST place to stay at in the Hampton's. The property is located barely 10 min before Greenport on a beautiful white sandy beach. I highly recommend the beach cottages as they are roomy and also have a screened in porches to sit at in the evening right in front of the beach. This Motel was completely redone with impeccable taste and they kept that fabulous Americana style. Their breakfast place called Nookie's is like a throw back from the 50's Happy Day's. Eddie's open for lunch and dinner is delicious and who doesn't like dining al fresco with feet in the sand. The best part is the calm beach with plenty of chaises & umbrellas for everyone plus 2 floating pontoons in the designated swimming area is the best tanning spot! Perfect for a romantic weekend or a getaway with friends and also perfect for small children as the beach is in a gorgeous quiet bay facing Shelter Island. Book way in advance as the secret is out!

I have “driven by” this place (sign lol) on the main road SO many times, but not visited. Glad we did finally! Everything was amazing from check in to check out. They maintain the old charm, wonderful staff, amazingly clean and nice, quiet beach to relax with a great view….will definitely be back. Shout out to the staff at Nookies also!

Fantastic updated motel! Old school vibe .(.Nookieʼs Diner , on property, delicious food!)) with numerous amenities. Close to town of Greenport ,LIRR, Hampton Jitney .Great private beach! Excellent customer service !! A welcoming and relaxing experience..highly recommended!!!

We were gifted a weekend getaway and our stay at the Silver Sands Motel was nothing short of spectacular. The entire hotel is restored to a 1950’s beach motel charm, everything from the lobby to the room amenities. We enjoyed spending time relaxing on the beach and dining at the two amazing restaurants on the property: Nookies and Eddie’s. Chef Finn O’Hara has curated a spectacular menu bringing together his unique talent to the locally sourced produce and seafood. The hotel has complimentary bikes which allows you to explore the surrounding area and visit the charm of Greenport, NY. Just Spectacular!!

My husband and I had an enjoyable two day stay. The property is lovely and the rooms recently refurbished. The beach is quiet with a serene view and the water was just the right temperature. Fluffy towels beach side were a welcomed amenity. It is a very short ride to the village of Greenport and very close to Southhold if you are looking for places to shop or eat. We enjoyed dinner at Nookies- delicious! It was nice to be able to stay on the property. We will definitely visit again.
