Sahara Motel

It was ok for what it was. A cheaper place to stay compared to others. Boardwalk is right there. Man at the front desk wasent accommodating. Had a problem with our cable in our room. He said he’d come up to check it out and never showed.

The efficiency room with a side view and nice balcony was perfect for us. It was great to be so close to everything. Definitely will be returning.

The best part of this hotel is the ocean view right on the broad walk

The Good: Parking was convenient and hotel was on the boardwalk The price was right (off season). The not so good: The kitchenette was lacking to say the least. Make sure you bring your cooking essentials (plates, silverware, glasses,pots and pans measuring devices, cutting board,can opener) There were ants in the hotel You get what you pay for.

We could see a portion of the beach from our motel room. It was only a block from the beach. There was a place to eat breakfast right across the street.

The room we stayed in was clean but it had an odor of mildew or something in it was almost over powering. When door was open it helped. Drain in bathtub was rusted horrible so water wouldn't stay in tub. Was very hard to communicate with staff no one hardly spoke English. The ice machine was horrible the drain rack in it was so rusted. Honestly didn't look safe to get anything out of it. Really need a new one. The location was great loved that the beach was right there.

This place was nothing like we expected. Dirty & old. I was with my 2 kids and they weren’t even happy. We have stayed right by the beach before and -trust me- you can find much better than this dingy dirty motel - to stay at. There was hair in the bathroom that obviously wasn’t cleaned. The bedsheets are like 100 years old and we picked a non smoking room- and the smell as soon as you entered the room - DID NOT smell clean. Moldy. And the so called “manager” Rob that I tried getting a hold of for DAYS calling at first and then actually going to the front desk never ever was available. Even after I decided to leave the motel. We ended up arriving and staying the night and checked out at 11:00. Expedia called because I wanted a refund for the other nights that I DID not stay and of course “Rob” didn’t approve it . He only approved one night. —- so Expedia did not want to refund me my money for the rest of the nights I had paid for because they needed the approval from him.

I liked it

I attempted to call and email in advance to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. Nobody answered the phone. Nobody returned my messages that were left on their answering machine. Nobody emailed me back. Worst customer service ever!

Overall a good place to go too for bike week. Pool a little cold but that's no the venues spot.
