Sahara Motel

My first time staying here and i loved it. Very clean and they make sure everyday u have clean towels. Very nice people that work here.

The room was a clean room they checked in on you and seeing if you need anything everyday the staff was very good

We’ve stayed at Sahara Motel three times this summer. Great location. Staff is nice. No problems at all.

Front staff were not very personable, just wanted to check us in and out. Hotel could use some updates, including mattress (they need replaced), painting, replace shower curtain and clips, blankets/comforters need washed, carpets. Room was very musty when we arrived but slowly got better. The location was great in proximity to the boardwalk and beach. The cafe for breakfast was exceptional! Overall, i would stay here again if some upgrades and thorough cleaning was done.

Upon checking into the room, the staff member was very polite and kind. However, once we entered, we noticed that the shower curtain had mold on it. The overall appearance of the room did not reflect its $500 to $600 price tag. In addition to the moldy shower curtain, the bathroom was not clean, with hair scattered throughout. I called the front desk to request a new shower curtain and to inform them about the bathroom's condition. A staff member came up, acted somewhat awkwardly, and handed us the new shower curtain without saying much. It seemed he expected me to replace it myself. Shortly after, a woman arrived to change the shower curtain for us. We also requested clean towels, but when we received them, they had dirt spots on them. We asked for more towels, but they were never delivered. Though we had planned to stay for two nights, we checked out early on the second day due to something biting us in bed; we discovered a bed bug. Overall, while the front desk staff were wonderful, the room service and maid service were unfortunately not up to standard.

I liked that is near the beach and boardwalk area. Disliked that rooms are very out of date. TV and availability of channels is limited. Beds are a Twin XL size and super uncomfortable to sleep on. No Elevator. They allow anyone to smoke any kind of thing from the balcony area. Room had a weird smell, even with air fresheners we purchased the smell wouldn’t go away.

I would never tell anyone to go there. Drug use all day and night...we dont do that and the smell was AWFUL. Had to leave our outside door open to be able to breathe.

My sister had a roach in her room…. The blankets were old & washed very outdated… my family & I purchased new comforter & pillows from Walmart… the carpet was outdated & very grimy… the bottom of my socks were very dirty, I had to wear booties over my socks during my entire stay… the staff were polite & they addressed the issue of jumping & thumping noises over my head expeditiously. Definitely too pricey for the condition of the rooms.
