Sprague Motel

No breakfast. Bed was comfy. Room cold to begin with but heating worked well.

The train tracks were close by and the horn sounded all night as the train went past. My sleep was disturbed (after 4 hours) and no sleep the rest of the night.

Was cozy. Great front desk gal. Clean.

Clean and simple with easy chech in and out

I pre paid for booking earlier in the day on my app. Showed up to Motel at 7:30pm. Office was closed so I called the phone line. The lady who answered was immediately triggered before I got to even say hello. She claimed my phone must not work, “I tried calling you earlier.” She clearly didn’t call the right number as I found out later in the night. She complained about this for several minutes. You’d think you’d just email with check in instructions since that was on file? She wouldn’t let me park on site under a well lit area as I had a small open U-Haul trailer with several boxed parts and motorcycle. Didn’t even let me finish asking nicely. “MOVE YOUR TRUCK NOW” She literally stood outside to watch that it got moved right away as I told her I needed some time to unpack my cargo first. She demanded I park across the street in a dark field. The real parking lot literally had 3 vehicles but she claimed it was illegal. I said I’d park out of the way on the side. I took pictures to prove how pathetic this parking situation was. I was in the lobby looking at brochures and she literally told me I need to leave the area right now. It’s just a common area with travelling brochures. This lady made me feel so uncomfortable. Still shocked someone in hospitality actually acted that way. I’ll be talking to the manager, assuming that wasn’t her working at check in.

Clean and felt safe. Management very responsive to issues.

The Sprague Motel offers great value for money. It has a sweet, old-fashioned feel but at the same time, the rooms appear to have been recently modernized. Everything was very clean, the beds were amazingly comfortable, and the manager, Rose, was very accommodating and kind. We enjoyed a quick drive along the main road of the town before we hopped back on the freeway, and felt like we had turned the hands back on time. We would definitely stay here again if we were passing through the area.

It’s a cute out of the way spot. The front desk person is very friendly.

Everything was great other than the fact that there is no desk to work on. Everything else was awesome, especially Rose, the manager! She is an awesome person to work with. I hope the owners have enough sense to keep her on , she is what made this stay excellent!

My five-star review is based on a motel that is significantly under $100 so it’s not a Best Western or higher caliber, but for the value it is 5 stars. It’s in a sweet tiny town called Sprague on the outskirts of Spokane. The room was comfortable and a good size. Rose was extremely nice and helpful. The only down side is that it is a non-smoking motel (that’s great!) but there were some chain smokers who smoked all night and again early in the morning which was very uncomfortable for me, but that’s not the motel’s fault. It could be improved by requiring smokers to smoke far away from the rooms. Overall I’d stay there again.

Everything was new and clean. Front desk lady could have tried to be kind.
