Westport RV Park & Motel

Perhaps one of the worst experiences of renting a motel room in my 63 years of life. I reserved and paid for a two queen room. When we got there, we couldn’t get into the room and there was no one around. I called four different numbers to get help for over a hour. When we finally got into the room, it smelled so badly of mold it was impossible to stay. The local manager, Troy, who did a great job with his limited ability to help, moved us into another room, which was not clean. There was a pair of dirty women’s underpants, hair everywhere, dirty floor, etc.. You could see underneath the door to the outside- there was a half inch gap, which explained all the flies in the room. We also discovered that every room has the same code to get into which is really unsafe- Anyone could’ve gotten into our room at any time if they knew the code. The manager then moved us to another room which oddly enough didn’t have heat except in the bedroom. They had a space heater on an extension cord to heat three rooms so we were cold the entire time. There were electrical cords tacked all over the place because there were few outlets. It felt like a fire waiting to happen! There were no hand towels, no hairdryer, no tissues; the WiFi keep going out, the pool was drained. There was no water pressure in the bathroom and the place is in such a state of disrepair it’s really scary. The microwave was falling off of the shelf as the shelf was too narrow for the microwave. Two years ago, we stayed here and they were working on upgrading the place, but since then it has fallen into such an undesirable state- the motel should be condemned, torn down and just enlarge the RV park portion. The pros of this place is that there is a fish cleaning station and Troy, the on-site manager is doing his best, but they don’t give him any money to do any repairs.

6 of us stayed in two rooms. We stayed for three nights. Rooms were clean and well stocked. We went crabbing one day and had 7 keepers. The staff were quick to let us know they have a fish/crab cleaning station. They also brought out their crab cooker and set it up for us. We stopped at Brady’s Oysters and used the Weber grill near our rooms to BBQ our find. They have a nice swimming pool and we used their corn hole game. Cookies in the office were a nice touch. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Property is okay but furniture is dated. Lock on room didn't always lock. Limited food options in Westport. 1 grocery store over priced on all items. Staff on Property were friendly but Limited office hours.

This might have been a great experience. We were certainly looking forward to it with much anticipation. We had the 5th wheel and boat ready to go. Except I fell 5 days prior and sustained a compression fracture to my first lumbar vertebrae. I can barely sit for a few minutes, let alone drive for 4 hours towing a boat. Now, I know there are no refunds given when you cancel in less than 30 days. Extenuating circumstances much? Maybe offer to let us come another time? Or offer insurance for a little additional fee like car rentals and Priceline does? Those would be fair. But just outright keep my $442.18? That's just BS. Just remember, KARMA is a bi*ch. They will never see another penny from me.

Nice quiet place to spend the weekend with a pool.

Great find! I’m so glad we found it, as it was everything we were looking for! We travel with our dog, so finding a dog friendly hotel is a must. Not only is it dog friendly, but they have a cute off leash area for the pups. The room was spacious, super clean, easy parking, and quick & efficient check in. Will be back here for sure!

Pros: fish cleaning station and steamer/cooker. The owner/managers are so nice and helpful

We stayed at the motel part of the property. It was quiet, very clean, not too cluttered nice and warm, which is nice for that area because it rains a lot. I had trouble getting my wheelchair in out of the room because of the little lip that was on the door Part of the floor and fortunately the people there helped me thank you Jade and when she couldn’t and her husband couldn’t a neighbor helped is very much appreciated. We were having trouble with getting my chair into the car and they even helped with that so they’re very accommodating very kind. Great people if I go back I would stay there and I will tell everybody that they can stay there because it’s hard to find people that are kind and helpful.

It was a nice little room but i didn't like the shower was very small with barely enough room to move around
