"Value for your dollar"

8.0

My wife and I spent four nights here and have nothing but good things to say about the motel, the owners and the surrounding area. We stayed in a cabin, which was a little tight, but you don't come to the Adirondacks to be inside and what we saved in motel costs, allowed us to spend more on things like meals and renting kayaks. The owners could not have been nicer, as were the other guests.

"Great atmosphere"

6.0

The cabins are really quite in keeping with the area. You are in the middle of the wilderness. The owners are wonderful people, the cabins are old, quaint with picnic table, micro, fridge, pool. This is a great jumping off point to other wilderness area's and then return for a hot shower and comfy bed. If your looking for a Marriott or anything like it, this is not the place. Yet, if your heading into the wild, then you will understand.

"Comfortable and Good Value"

8.0

My wife and I stayed in one of the cabins. Although small, it had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. This is a vintage cabin from the 1940's or 50's, but had been updated with a t.v., microwave and fridge. It had a closet and private bathroom. The expansive grounds are very nice. There's an inviting-looking swimming pool, picnic tables, gas grille, lawn games and there is free wifi. We found the owners to be very friendly. We walked to a perfectly good restaurant on the same road. There are motel units in addition to the cabins. The rooms may not be luxurious. But our cabin was clean, quiet, comfortable and a great value. There was a nice selection of bagels for breakfast in the morning. I would recommend Park Motel for individuals, couples or families.

"Great, friendly retro experience"

8.0

Stayed here with my sweetie and my puppy dog. Though the "bikers welcome" sign out front was off-putting, the owners were friendly and helpful, and the cabin was cute and fun to stay in. We encountered no Klingon-looking bikers and heard no Harley Davidson 'potato potato' noises. Do NOT stay here if you want something luxurious or spacious -- this is a 1940s 1950s style roadside cabin with a teensy bathroom and a main room just big enough for the furniture and a little space for my dog's bed. If your main goal is reasonable accomodations in the heart of the Aidrondack park, and you can appreciate this place for what it is, you'll love it as we did. It was clean and comfortable (though when we first entered it had a bit of a musty smell). The humble but funky retro furniture was fun. Free wi-fi and mini fridge were nice amenities. It was peaceful and quiet (well, except when my dog heard someone entering the adjacent cabin and woke us up with some barks, but I don't blame the hotel for this ;-) ) My only other complaint is that the window pane over the door didn't have a shade (only a piece of contact paper), and the porch light shone in.

"Old fashioned comfort"

8.0

We came to this motel after 5 days of canoe camping on a remote river. We arrived in the pouring rain, with no reservations, and were greeted by the friendliest motel owners ever. They put us in a cabin, complete with a refrigerator and microwave, comfortable bed and quaint handcrafted items, including a hand painted bedside table in the shape of a heart. The next morning, when the rain was over, we noticed a croquet set as well as a grill and picnic tables for the guests. Each cabin also comes with lawn chairs, to relax on while enjoying the breakfast of bagels and cream cheese. This motel is clearly a labor of love.

"We LIKED it!"

8.0

Just came back from an overnight; we stayed in Cabin 9. The cabins are small, but very clean. Small TV (not flatscreen) with full cable, nice side table and chairs, apt. size fridge and a mini microwave made this cabin just fine for our overnight needs. The bathroom is small, it's the original and there isn't much to work with even if you wanted to redo it. Word of advice: If you are tall you will not like using the facilities! It just won't work, so get a king room in the motel section. The shower is a small stall, the sink and mirror all original. No fancy toiletries here so bring your own, it's not a Hilton so don't expect as much. The grounds are lovely and kept well. The price of our cabin peak season was $89 plus $8 for our dog, not bad! Now the bed....it was incredible. Obviously new. Queen pillowtop on a firm mattress. Absolutely comfortable! The cabin has a couple of adirondack chairs out front to enjoy the evening and a really nice pool area. So, next time we are in the area, we'd definitely stay here again!

"Clean Simple Place To Stay In The Adirondacks"

6.0

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins at the Park Motel for one night on Sat July 7th after a day of hiking in the Adirondack Mountains. This was a perfect place for us to stay after a long wet muddy day in the mountains. The cabin is a throwback to the 60’s. It is small somewhat outdated but very clean. We didn’t arrive until 8:00pm and our priority was a clean bed and a hot shower, which is what the Park Motel & Cabins provides. The owners are very nice and gave us some good recommendations for dinner in Tupper Lake. The Park Motel and Cabins is a clean simple place to stay in the Adirondacks.
