The location can't be beat. It's in a great area to explore by foot. Lots to see and do in the very walkable vicinity. We especially enjoyed walking the Sea Point prom and renting electric scooters. The ice cream shop at the bottom of the building (the Creamery) is open until 11pm and comes highly recommended. We felt safe in the complex and the doormen we met were always friendly and very helpful. The parking is safe, albeit in a tight spot, but it was nice to not have to leave our car on the curb side at night. It was a great touch to have a concierge meet us there and help with the bags and getting to terms with everything the apartment had to offer. It's easy to contact the letting agent and they are very responsive to questions.

Unfortunately there were a few problems here. None which can't be solved! The apartment is older, and thus the cupboards (particularly in bathroom) are very worn. The doors to the patio and the patio itself are also very dated. For starters, the washing machine door popped open mid-cycle, which made a soapy mess. Then, the main bedroom and second bedroom beds were really uncomfortable. When we checked the main bedroom, the bed actually had broken planks in the base. Easy to fix and would be a huge improvement. The flat isn't serviced, which in itself isn't an issue, but washing the dishes is really difficult as the kitchen is very small and the basin/sink is tiny. Perhaps the owner could consider getting rid of the tiny freezer (the unit already has two small bar fridges with small freezer compartments) and putting in a dishwasher? If you're there for a longer stay, the letting agents might also need to supply more than one bin bag and wash dish towel. By day 2, we had to buy these. The last concern is that the sliding door to bedroom 2 would keep getting jammed. We had a very panicked 9 year old sleeping in there and she got quite a fright when the door couldn't open during the night. It also is a safety hazard.

The host is just a bit pushing with the ETA and we didn't know the city, traffic etc is so couldn't give an exact time. Also your ETA has to be in 15min brackets and not 1 hour.

Doors do not close properly/broken. Hot/cold mixer wrong way around..hot is cold and cold is hot in one bathroom. Bed planks on ground. Even though arranged to get key 15h...only arrived at 16h..had to wait.

The location was superb! Stay was pleasant!

The parking bay was quite small.
