The place was really nice and the view of the river

We couldn't use our unit braai (and we were not informed of it before check in there was a note on the braai saying it is out of order When paying so much money per night it is quite disappointing There was a power outage and when we called reception they were quite rude and not very assistive Also just want to add that as a replacement for the braai not working they put a small weber braai there and it was quite difficult to braai all the food as we are a big family hence we booked a 6 sleeper unit

View onto river was pleasant. Beds were comfortable

The unit smelled musty when we arrived. Am sure hadn’t been opened for a while. Fridge/freezer in kitchen was not turned on. Called maintenance who tried to program it. After a few hours still not working. We luckily discovered another fridge tucked away in the scullery which worked. When I contacted Joey at Bookings Africa who are the agents for the unit she told me the fridge/freezer is not in use. No notification advising of this. Wasted so much of our time and that of maintenance person. Air conditioner did not work in one of the rooms. Maintenance failed to repair during our stay. Extremely hot. TV in lounge did not work. It would work for a few minutes with no sound then freeze. Maintenance tried but failed to get it to work during our stay. Shower door in upstairs bathroom does not close. Very limited cutlery and crockery. I requested a partial refund as so many issues were not resolved. I received a refund of R600 which is an insult considering the weekend cost over R7000. There was no notification in the unit that it is managed by Booking Africa so wasted the resorts time in calling their maintenance staff who did not know how to resolve issues. Will not book any property managed by Booking Africa in future

Property is on the river. Absolutely stunning. Well equipped, everything you need for a self catering stay. Also close to the restaurant

The setting was exceptional with the view of the river and the sound of the water. The beds were very comfortable. The unit was spacious and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We didn't get to meet the person who cleaned our unit, but she did an excellent job.

Suggestion - it would be good to have longer braai tongs available. The short ones which were supplied worked, but longer ones would be safer. Perhaps have a printed copy of instructions on how to use the TV. We were not able to access any channels on the one in the sitting room, which we only discovered on our last night there. We didn't try to use it before. There was no problem in accessing channels on the one in the bedroom.
