Just be aware you are purchasing just a room. Even if you splash the extra for breakfast on the app you get toast, yoghurt or choice of 3 cereals. For somewhere claiming to be the best restaurant around that is what they class as continental. So aftwr youve paid for 'breakfast' if you want a hot breakfast its another £15. You have no use of any facilities even if your room was £215 a night. The gym they want you to pay£10 for the day. To use the pool,sauna,jacuzzi its £65 for 3hours. And thats each not per room. And no discount if your are a guest. Treatments obviously on top. Dinner is reasonably priced. The room by the lake are top standard and great view, no aircon. And if you oeave your door open you are greeted with a typical farm smell of manure im guessing from the pond/ducks? If you dont pay for spa or play golf there is nothibg else there

Bed was comfy

Not as advertised. No separate living room and bath isn’t a spa bath. In fact the only bath is the one outside. All these points were mentioned both to reception and booking.com but was told there was nothing they could do and no compensation offered.

Stunning facilities, lovely room with a gorgeous view and Big Bed, and excellent food quality and options. Also lovely service throughout, a really lovely stay

Cooked breakfast was an extra charge but worth the cost, think should be made clearer on booking.com

The quality of the venue, the up keep? The friendliness of staff, especially Alex (son of owners) I treated my boyfriend to the spa and he loved it

Our outdoor bath wasn’t cleaned, my pillow case was slightly stained, our lights stopped working in the night, there’s no phone in room to contact reception / staff, google stated phone lines open till 10:00 but I had an emergency at 9:00 and all lines and facilities were closed. The continental breakfast was very limited. There isn’t much else to do unless you enjoy using the gym, spa or playing golf
