Rose Cottage - Cosy cottage in Millers Dale

The cottage was perfect for what we needed it for, it was a very comfortable home for us as a family

We did find a couple of unclean areas, very dusty in the main bedroom around the edge of the room, our bags picked it all up, and a used plaster was found on the floor in the twin room. The rugs in the two living areas are not suitable for indoors, they had no grip on the bottom and as placed on tiled floors our children both slipped and fell over on them during our stay.

Perfect for a family of four. Our teenage boys enjoyed the twin room. We were able to cook with the facilities on offer, wash dirty wet clothes from our walk and enjoy the evening in front of the fire. Short walk to the pub, which was a nice, scenic walk. If you’re planning on walking the monsal trail or chee dale stepping stones, this location was perfect. We did wonder if dog hair would be present but the cottage was very clean.

Nothing.

The cottage was cosy and the log burner was beautiful. It was however extremely dusty, there were lots of ornaments and fake flowers that were caked in it. We pulled the portable gas fire out and there was thick dog hair behind.

Cleanliness lacking

Good size for family get together

A lovely, cosy place to stay and in a great location next to the monsal trail. Will be staying again in future. Thank you.
