Penang Marriott Hotel

This is our first trip to Penang. As we stepped into the hotel, we were warmly greeted by Ummi Khaleida! Her friendly presence made me feel welcome at the hotel. She had also recommended some wonderful suggestions for us to visit during our stay, such as Armenian Street and Penang Street. In terms of the rooms, it was fantastic. The ambiance of the room was peaceful, which complements the view of the room which was the sea. Furthermore, the room was very clean and the housekeeping staff came into the room twice- in the morning and evening. During the evening visit, the housekeeping team will provide more water and set the room for nighttime. The rooms were very clean and neat. The room has a good view of the beach. The F&B section was marvellous. From fresh juices to a wonderful spread of authentic Penang cuisine and Western foods! Unlike other hotels I have visited, this is the first hotel that served fresh juices, which included cucumber, beetroot, dragon fruit and celery. The staff were friendly and welcoming! Special mention to Nelson, Michelle and Jayanthi (Jay) for providing excellent service! I will definitely recommend staying at Penang Marriott Hotel for your Penang Trip!

We would like to compliment the banquet staff(Ahmad Uzaei) for his excellent service during our 4-day event at La Siena. He was consistently helpful, attentive, and proactive. We were especially impressed that he remembered our preferences and made sure every detail was well taken care of. His dedication and professionalism made our event experience seamless and pleasant.

I recently stayed at the Marriott Penang from October 6-18, 2025, which included a four-day conference (October 7-10) in the La Siena room. My overall experience was truly exceptional, defined by an outstanding level of service and thoughtful amenities. The standout moment of my entire stay was the service from one particular staff member in the La Siena conference room. As we were a group of 20-25, I typically hesitate to ask for extra requests like an iced Americano because it requires more effort than using the coffee machine provided. However, after asking for it on the first day, this server remembered this small detail. The very next morning, as I arrived and settled in, he proactively brought me an iced Americano—without me even needing to ask! He continued this thoughtful gesture during every single tea break for the next three days. This act of proactive service and personal recognition was genuinely heartwarming and made me feel profoundly cared for, easily surpassing my experiences at other Marriott properties. The personal touch was matched by the hotel's excellent facilities. My extended stay felt not just comfortable, but truly destressing, thanks to the complimentary mini-bar drinks and the use of the steam room facilities. Though the hotel is a little far from our office in Penang, the high-touch service and relaxing atmosphere are more than enough to make me choose this hotel every time for future visits. The whole team is wonderful, but a massive thank you to the server in La Siena for making such a lasting, positive impression!

Conveniently located on walking distance to Gurney Plaza mall, several food courts nearby and a short grab ride to downtown Georgetown. Nice new hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is lively and offers everything you need. Nice lobby lounge concept with bar activation in the evening. Pool deck and gym facilities (very large and well equipped!) are great. Will definitely stay here again. Special thanks to Wenying and Leon in the Club floor who went out of their way to ensure my wellbeing. Also thanks to Melanie who gave me great insights about attractions to visit in Penang.

I would like to compliment Ms Wenying, Ms. Adriana, the Front Office Supervisor, Ms Melanie guest experience Mgr for both of their excellent service and professionalism. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me warmly and made me feel genuinely welcome. Both of them communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin, which made conversations effortless and pleasant. She handled every request efficiently and with a sincere smile, demonstrating her strong sense of responsibility and care for guests. They have calm attitude and attention to detail truly reflect a high standard of hospitality. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated and multilingual in customer service. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor left a lasting positive impression — she is definitely an asset to the team. My family will definitely come again and very enjoyable.

We requested bath salt at around 9pm & was delivered to our room half an hour later. Then 3 bours later which was already midnight, someone rang our door & asked if the bath salt was delivered. This was rediciolous ! how can a 5-Star hotel has this kind of service !
