Penang Marriott Hotel

The staff here is beyond excellent! They were ready to assist me with any of my requests. I sat at the lobby bar (La Siena) and I was waited on by IRA, a very friendly and competent new bartender. She concocted what I considered the finest cocktails that I have had in Malaysia, if not the best dirty Martini I have enjoyed outside of the United States.

First time here and I have to say everything exceeded my expectations from rooms , location, cleanliness, the view, staffs and food. It sits right at the bay. Not too busy and not too quiet either and I would say its definitely just at the right amount of good things packed together in this hotel. Would definitely come back if I have the chance. Thank you and keep up the good work!

What is impressive is that all the staff, from the bell hop to the restaurant, the staff is just great. A special shout out to the Sago F&B mgr Krishnan who actually remembered I liked orange juice and served me when I sat down without asking. Also located within walking distance to Gurney malls.

Staying at Penang Marriott Hotel was one of the best decisions for our trip! We really love the sea view and the convenient location (close to Gurney Paragon / Plaza as well as attractions in Georgetown). There is also a large playground opposite the hotel for kids and an electric bike rental kiosk, which makes it fun to explore Gurney Bay. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean as well. The staff at Penang Marriott were helpful and friendly, and even went the extra mile to prepare a lovely birthday surprise for our kid. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely visit again!

Best hotel in penang.. good staff.. perfect every minutes i stay. Perfect lounge dinner.. good Cheff with local food.. my kid love the yogurt.. and a lot of local favour .. very nice the welcome drink at lobby hotel..

My first stay at the Penang Marriott Hotel was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The location is superb, though guests should expect the occasional unpredictable traffic at both the front and rear of the hotel. Parking is complimentary for guests, and availability appears sufficient—at least during off-peak hours. The elevators connect directly to the parking area, so no transfer is required, which is convenient. Check-in was exceptionally pleasant. Ms. Lekka demonstrated impressive knowledge of the hotel’s facilities and features, explaining everything clearly and professionally. Her warm manner and excellent hospitality truly set the tone for my stay. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, though I did find the desk lamp awkwardly positioned and non-adjustable. The city view was wonderful, though I imagine the sea view overlooking Gurney Park would be even more captivating. Toiletries and other amenities were consistent with the standard quality expected from Marriott properties. Breakfast was a personal highlight—both the quality and variety of dishes were excellent. The main dining area did feel slightly compact, but with three in-house dining options, guests have plenty of alternatives for their meals. Overall, I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to travellers visiting Penang.

Again, we had a wonderful stay at Marriott, Marriott Bovoy always deliver their outstanding service. Truly up to their excellent standard.
