The Tynemouth Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group

Das Hotel war sehr schön. Die Lage nahe dem Strand ist sehr schön. Unser Zimmer war nicht riesig, aber ausreichend. Allerdings schien dort nachmittags die Sonne drauf und es war kaum kühl zu bekommen, da das Fenster sich nicht weit genug öffnen liess. Ein Ventilator hat Abhilfe geschaffen. Frühstück war ok, Abendessen SEHR gut. Das Pub, in dem beides stattfindet bot ein schönes Flair mit Aussenterrasse. Das Personal (bis auf eine Dame) war auch sehr angenehm - nicht übertrieben freundlich, aber man fühlte sich willkommen.

Irgendwie hat man mein Late Checkout nicht hinbekommen. Zweimal habe ich gefragt, man hat mir bestätigt, dass alles ok und bezahlt ist. Wenn ich am Morgen die Keycards einfach in die Box geworfen hätte und nicht bei einem anderen Mitarbeiter abgegeben hätte, wäre ich mit 15 Pfund Schulden abgereist.

Room wasn’t cleaned every day so didn’t have tea and milk on 2 days. Also the toilet roll ran out, fortunately we bought a roll of our own. The food in the restaurant was good but some of it was expensive.

Logistic wise good to get about either walking or metro

Staff lovely but the couple of evening meals we had there weren’t the best and took ages to.

Breakfast was excellent . Location is ideal.

Poor quality sinking mattress, not up to cost of the room! Music on on terrace from morning to night was extremely unpleasant. We were at first given a room that had a view on traffic at the roundabout and far too remotely and faintly with a glimpse of the sea ( we had payed for a room with sea view). Fortunately we were given a better room when my partner complained

Well positioned, friendly staff and great breakfast.

Location perfect. Great dining options. Nice room, comfy bed, great shower. Staff helpful.
