The old post office hotel

was lovely little place to stay in and Jackie was lovely :) really good service. nice clean room with a comfy bed as well as tea and coffee to make in the rooms. absolutely no complaints

Jackie is a great host, and Jess is a great barmaid. Very welcoming. Limited parking at the back. Rooms & check-in are accessed through the back door. Double door security to rooms. Some rooms require lengthy climbs of stairs. Room was well furnished with TV, miniature shower gel & shampoo, kettle, tea/coffee/sugar/milk & towel. Sockets aren't always convenient, so bring an extension lead. Sink in bedroom. Shared seperate toilet and shower room both clean & serviceable. Pub is friendly when it's open - ask at check-in to find out when it's likely to open/close during your stay. Beer is in good form, reasonable variety.

I don't think this should be called a hotel, it shouldn't be on hotels.com, but I understand these places need to exist, on my arrival, the communal bathroom door, was hanging off, my bed sheets had stains, but the staf are very friendly

Jackie is the best- so kind and friendly and willing to do whatever you need. Really recommend this place if travelling solo as they look out for you. Everything in Halifax is walking distance so great location too
