GBLocated in the middle of the village. Free parking. A quiet room away from the main bar. A small but adequate bathroom. Very well sited for exploring the Peak District and the Derbyshire Dales.
The relatively small room was hot with no controls to reduce or turn off the radiators. The bathroom is equipped with an excellent shower but no bath. Personally we found this no problem. Breakfast was not available on site and, being a small village, there is little alternative locally available. Fortunately Bakewell is only four miles away and has a variety of cafes and restaurants.

There is no wifi in the bedrooms. You can only use wifi in the pub when it is open. Our phones also didn’t have any mobile signal so it was difficult trying to plan our day’s activities. This wasn’t a blip, there was no wifi when we stayed 6 months ago. I felt staff were making out it was a temporary problem.

Unfortunately Booking. Com hadn’t paid the property when I made the reservation in January 2024, consequently when I arrived on Friday I had to pay again. Now Booking.com are not resolving the issue to refund my second payment
GBGBWhat a lovely place! From start to finish we had the best time. Owners were amazing very attentive. Locals were friendly. We had food which was fantastic. The entertainment on the Saturday night was brilliant. We left the next day both saying we will come back as we had the best time. Thank you FarmYard Inn 😀
