Caer Rhun Hall Hotel

Location was excellent. Few miles outside of Conway surrounded by mountains. Beautiful hotel to stay in. Breakfast was really nice and well priced. £14. Fresh fluffy pancakes, honeycomb, fruit and yoghurt, gluten free toast, eggs, cereals. Tea made from leaf. Comfy bar in the evening. Dog friendly. Staff very friendly. Ron was a very attentive host. Plenty of parking at venue.

Unser Zimmer war nicht besonders groß, wir hatten jedoch einen bezaubernden Ausblick auf den Garten. Wir konnten bei offenem Fenster schlafen, weil das Hotel in absoluter Ruhelage war. Die Zimmer sind nicht die neuesten, dürften aber vor ein paar Jahren aufgehübscht worden sein. Badezimmer war klein, aber sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Restaurant und Empfangshalle dürften frisch renoviert sein. Der Einrichtungsstil ist alt und modern kombiniert, sehr gut passend zum alten Haus. Wir haben am Abend im Restaurant ein Drei Gang Menü gegessen, das uns sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Beim Einchecken wurden wir an der Rezeption sehr nett empfangen.

Die Bedienung im Restaurant war zwar nett, aber sehr unprofessionell. Man hat den Eindruck, dass dort lauter Hilfskräfte beschäftigt sind. Die Kellnerin muss sich das Tablett mit zwei Getränken am Tisch vom Gast abstellen, damit sie es servieren kann. Die Kellnerin hat ihr Handy in der hinteren Hosentasche eingesteckt. Wofür dann beim Essen 12 Prozent Servicekosten fix auf die Rechnung gebucht werden, verstehen wir nicht. Der Service war unter jeder Kritik und fast peinlich.

Being on the second floor, a lift would've been handy, but hey, that's a minor thing.

The hotel is beautiful, in the most gorgeous grounds, staff were lovely and helpful, the room and veiws were amazing and the luxory toiletries were a treat. We stayed in the deluxe double great size, bath was lovely, would deffinately return.

We had an issue with the hot water but a very friendly and helpful staff member soon sorted it out.
