Plas Bellin Hall

Original booking was for a Economy room but this has a shared bathroom which was not stated in description so upgraded to the studio which was good but needs some improvement, seems to be a work in progress (which is why it is budget friendly)

It is a fine old place - beautiful country and hidden away - nearby is a golf course and lovely villages. The man who met us is vey friendly and helpful. This one move could be transformative ... it would be unique, comfortable and convenient.

Very hard to find. It needs to provide some form of kitchen (like a hostel or AIRBB) because it is so far from any choice of restaurants.

Bed too small, too warm, heating on in summer

We checked in very late and a courteous guy on call showed up to let us in, thank you. Everything looked clean and the bedding was spotless.

The place has potential but is a bit run down, need an urgent upgrade, our bathroom didn’t have a shower just a bathtub, all taps were the old separated ones with no way to use the boiling hot water. The floor was very uneven and squeaky and we can hear people going to the toilet like they were in our same room, not pleasant.

Not at all what we expected. Massive house with a very dull atmosphere.

Price was very reasonable and a freindly welcome when we arrived, room was a good size with plenty of storage, in a beautiful area of the country, had seen some awful reviews after booking (the only review on expedia was fab) but feel that some of these were a bit harsh, yes the place could do with a bit of modernising but as they say you get what you pay for and we felt for the price it was not going to be a five star place, one thing I think could be greatly improved is their showers - run from taps and I had to take a bath to wash my hair as the shower was not really powerful enough to get shampoo and conditioner out. Lots of nice places to eat out nearby and plenty of places to visit,
