To cold, no shower and a proper palaver getting in to the room, after finally sorting me out the right room

Great staff, great service, rooms were simple and good.

Internet strength wasn’t the best.

All was good ,apart from the shower kept tripping ,but was assured would be rectified. Loved the fact of having fresh eggs .The manager was extremely helpful. Could not fault anything else whatsoever.

We got upgraded to stay in Plas Bellin Cottages before we arrived, because there was an issue with our original room. The apartment was warm, the bed was comfy, the water was hot. I appreciated the old vibe of the buildings, and that there were lots of trees and fields around, quite far from busy roads. Staff were kind, and quick to respond to messages and queries, and messaged us to make sure we’d checked in and out alright.

The property is a bit bizarre and multi use, there were overflowing bins and an old washing machine outside the building. Didn’t feel very cared for or super hygienic, the bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned, there was hair and tissue on the floor. Hair and dust elsewhere in apartment. A few simple things that would have improved- A mirror! A bedside table and another bedside lamp. Better cleaning of bathroom. Less rubbish around outside of property. Tidying up some whacky DIY fittings/paint jobs. Communication was a bit chaotic, via App, text and email- and I thought it was a scam at first, as I was sent a link that looked dodgy, and asked to register, give ID and ‘sign a rental agreement’ just for a 1 night stay, even though everything already confirmed through Booking.com. Not a scam, but a bit of a chaotic and basic property that could be improved with a bit of attention.

Beautiful property and location

There was no shower. The radiators were warmish but it didn’t make much of a difference, the room was freezing. Unusual floor in the room, felt like I was on a ship. The windows were quite dirty. The bed was so small and so uncomfortable. No staff when we arrived waited for about 15 minutes before we saw anyone and reception was freezing. There was a number to call outside but that should really be at the reception desk. They should also have a bell that someone can ring that alerts the rooms that staff sit in so they know someone’s waiting. The fact that anyone can walk in and go upstairs without being checked in or seen is slightly unnerving. What I will say is the building is beautiful and the staff were very nice but there are definite improvements to be made.
