Riad Al Ibtikar

A true gem hidden away within the bustling medina, it was always a joy to come back. Stayed 5 nights and could have stayed for longer.

A very nice place to stay. Very relaxed and great staff and owner who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and provide help. Remarkably quiet while being right in the busy part of the city. Do take up the offer of being collected as there are is no vehicle access and finding it for the first time would be very difficult.

The property itself is beautiful. You can tell that a lot of care went in to making this Riad feel special and warm. Yassine, Hamid, Fati and Steven are all amazing individuals that made us feel welcome, looked after, and were the best hosts we have ever met. This was a great holiday and a more than comfortable stay, and we cannot fault Riad Al Ibtikar at all.

Once we got ourselves oriented we found it easily. Staff were lovely. Will make tea any time you like. Very clean and tidy. We arrived late and they made us a lovely chicken tajine.

Even though there is aircon the heating element of it wasn’t sufficient. The room was too cold for us and felt damp when getting into bed. The breakfast would get boring for anymore than 3 days. Would have been nice to have had more variety.

Great personal service from the whole team. Hamid arranged our collection from the airport and Stephen checked in with us every day. I highly recommend this Riad.

We have now been to Riad al Ibtikar for three years in a row. The place is unique. Steven and his staff (Yasin, Hamid and Fatima) always make us feel at home. Before we came to Riad al Ibtikar, we always visit a new Riad when we visited Marrakesh. Now we know where we will stay. We Will stat at Riad al Ibtikar. The Riad has a fantastic interior. Everywhere you can see traces of Steven's skill as an artist. Both the rooms and the large hall downstairs are decorated with Steven's works.

This place has a unique charm, a cozy atmosphere (especially the rooftop), nice clean rooms, and really nice breakfast. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome and given the best treatment. Steven and the staff do a fantastic job at making your Marrakech stay a great experience, the communication is fast and clear and they help you find the right activities and accommodate to your needs (I had an early excursion and they ensured to have breakfast ready for me). It’s easy to find from the Jemaa el-Fnaa square in the middle of good street food and next to the different souks. I’ll surely stay here on my next visit to Marrakech!

Everything was fantastic at this Riad and exceeded expectations. The staff, the breakfast and the location were all superb. I could not recommend staying here enough. Had the pleasure of spending some time chatting over breakfast with the owner Stephen which was very enjoyable.
